The Vice President Innovation & Technology, Electrical Sector - Americas (ESA) will play a pivotal role in steering the organization's efforts toward technological advancement and market competitiveness. This role involves overseeing innovation strategies while ensuring alignment with both short-term objectives and long-term growth plans. By identifying market trends and opportunities, this role will develop technical roadmaps to deliver advanced solutions that fulfill customer's needs and drive organizational success.
This VP will have a strong focus on expanding Eaton's leadership in intelligent power management and data center technologies, developing cutting-edge solutions that address industry challenges and growing need for sustainable and scalable energy solutions. This position will also focus on preparing Eaton for a digital future by addressing evolving challenges, balancing innovation with organizational capability, and enhancing the company's digital presence and customer engagement.
The VP Innovation & Technology, ESA will report directly to the President of the Electrical Sector - Americas Region and functionally to the Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, Electrical Sector. This position can be based at Eaton's location in Pittsburgh, Raleigh or Milwaukee. Relocation within hiring region is offered.

• Lead efforts to identify, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies that expand Eaton's product portfolio and strengthen its position in the market.
• Oversee the creation and deployment of advanced technologies, including digital platforms, services, and new product introductions (NPI).
• Drive a talent strategy focused on future ready skills and capabilities.
• Lead with influence by fostering collaboration across departments and ensuring alignment of innovation strategies with organizational goals.
• Partner with business unit leaders, engineering Centers of Excellence (CoEs), and other stakeholders to integrate and promote the adoption of innovative technologies.
• Identify and nurture strategic partnerships to enhance Eaton's technology offerings and market presence.
• Lead engineering project prioritization efforts during profit planning and strategic planning processes.
• Drive change management initiatives to create a culture that embraces continuous improvement and adapts to technological advancements.
• Establish clear communication channels to champion transparency and promote the exchange of ideas across teams and stakeholders.
• Mentor and manage a team of technology professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
• Ensure alignment of technology initiatives with customer needs and market demands, delivering exceptional value and enhancing the customer experience.
• Drive operational efficiency through the adoption of modern tools, technologies, and best practices to streamline processes and workflows.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a relevant technical field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum fifteen (15) years of experience in technology development, innovation management, and strategic planning
• Minimum twelve (12) years' experience in a leadership role for department/CoE or business leading technology innovation initiatives within a large, global, and highly matrixed organization
• Experience within the energy, data center, power electronic, power distribution or electrical component manufacturing space

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
• Experience developing data center technologies and energy sector advancements

• Proven track record of success in driving market competitiveness, particularly in energy solutions and data center operations, through the integration of cross-functional technologies
• Deep and hands-on knowledge of emerging technologies, digital platforms, and operational best practices to enhance
• Demonstrated success in aligning technology initiatives with market trends, customer needs, and business goals, particularly in the context of advanced power management solutions efficiency and scalability
• Experience in fostering collaborative partnerships with strategic stakeholders and organizations to enhance technology offerings and market presence

The expected annual salary range for this role is $270000 - $396000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
