Vertical Storage System Operator - 1st Shift

Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Vertical Storage System Operator - 1st Shift to join our team in South Milwaukee, WI!
The hourly rate for this position is $21.65 per hour.
The core hours are 6:30 am - 2:30 pm. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times.

What you'll do:
In this function, you will:
- Operate computerized VSS stock storage system or SAP system for various manufacturing, shipping, and assembly operations.
- Process in a timely manner, the flow of materials through the VSS system or shipping area.
- Interact with other departments and supervisors as needed for advice and decisions.
- Accurately read shipping and order papers and cross check shipments accordingly with orders.
- Process and account for all transfer paperwork of stock in plant or shipments out of plant.
- Kit, distribute and count parts for distribution to manufacturing as needed.
- Perform annual physical inventory and cycle counts on inventory as requested.
- Collect and re-fill Kanban bins as need on the production floor in partnership with Material Handlers.
- Exercise extreme care in operation of motorized vehicles.
- Initiate contact with marketing regarding discrepancies between sales orders and sales schedules.
- Pack, store, crate, cut, locate, expedite, (un) load, and move material for production or shipment.
- Perform work from specifications, and / or communicated instructions. Follow established working procedures.
- Work under minimal supervision and instructions.
- Perform miscellaneous duties, including material handling, as assigned.
- Meet or exceed quality and quantity standards and keep work area clean and orderly
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 1 year of previous material and/or production control experience

Skills:
- Ability to read and use specifications and other documents affecting this position.
- Ability to use and operate tools, equipment and vehicles consistent with this job.
- Ability to use mathematics, read, and write.
- Familiar with shop layout, part locations, and inventory system.
