The Translation Reviewer is responsible for reviewing English to Hungarian translations to ensure technical accuracy, correct terminology, and full alignment with the source content in accordance with Eaton Translation and Review Policies. The role supports Eaton's Language Services, Global Marketing & Communications, and field product management by validating translated marketing and technical content prior to publication in the translation management system. The reviewer acts as a native language subject matter expert reviewer, focusing on accuracy and clarity, not stylistic rewriting or content creation.
Main Responsibilities
• Review translations from English into Hungarian for technical accuracy, completeness, and fidelity to source content. Scope includes but is not limited to product data, technical documentation, marketing assets, and webpage copy.

• Confirm correct and consistent use of approved Eaton terminology and domain-specific technical language.
• Respond to terminology and clarification queries during the translation and review cycle.
• Contribute to terminology research and confirm or approve terminology that is not yet documented.
• Apply translation evaluation and quality assessment principles when reviewing translated content.
• Provide clear, concise, and actionable review feedback through Eaton's translation management system (e.g., GlobalLink).
• Approve the graphical layout of translated content after review feedback has been correctly implemented and desktop publishing activities are completed.
• Ensure accuracy and correctness only, without rewriting content or introducing stylistic or preference-based changes.

Qualifications:
One of the following is required:
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
OR
• Master's degree in Translation or Specialized Technical Translation
For a linguistic profile (Master's degree in translation):
Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in proofreading technical content within the electrical engineering field
• Proven experience in technical translation review, technical proofreading, or translation quality assessment
Additional requirements
• Strong background in translation quality assurance and review
• Solid understanding of translation evaluation methodologies
• Experience with terminology management and controlled language is highly advantageous
For a technical profile (Engineering focused):
• Strong electrical engineering background and applied technical knowledge
• Familiarity with Eaton products
• Experience reviewing translations of engineering or product-related documentation
• Familiarity with CAT tools and translation workflows is a strong advantage
Skills:
Preferred qualifications (both profiles):
• Experience working with translation management systems
• Familiarity with structured or corporate translation workflows
• Experience reviewing translations in a multinational or industrial environment
• High attention to detail and ability to meet review deadlines independently
Working model:
