Technical Support Engineer
Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Technical Support Engineer.
What you'll do:
This position provides technical support for a broad portfolio of electrical products, including residential and industrial circuit breakers, industrial and commercial switching devices, and industrial control products. Support responsibilities include assisting customers with product selection, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing application guidance. The role leverages key tools and resources such as Salesforce case management and knowledge, engineering drawings, product configuration systems, Microsoft applications, and ERP platforms to deliver effective and timely customer support.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DIMENSIONS
• Provide technical support to customers via phone, chat, and email
• Support a broad portfolio of electrical products, including but not limited to:
• Industrial control products (motor starters and contactors, soft starters, control relays, motor overload protection, pilot devices)
• Circuit protection products (power circuit breakers and molded case circuit breakers)
• Residential products (loadcenters, circuit breakers, group metering)
• Commercial and industrial power distribution products (dry-type transformers, safety switches, rotary switches)
• Opportunity to provide technical support across multiple product portfolios
• Assist customers with product selection, troubleshooting, and application guidance
• Effectively communicate product value propositions and product line strategies
• Utilize Salesforce Case Management to document, track, and manage customer interactions
• Leverage and contribute to Salesforce Knowledge to support consistent and scalable issue resolution
• Use engineering drawings, product configuration tools, and supporting systems to resolve technical inquiries
• Participates in projects and initiatives focused on continuous improvement of support processes, tools, and customer experience
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a engineering field
- Minimum of 2 years of Industry experience related to electrical components or systems
Preferred Qualifications: - Prior technical support experience
- Knowledge of industrial ethernet (e.g. Modbus TCP, BACnet/IP, SNMP, etc.)
- Knowledge of industrial fieldbus communications (e.g. Modbus RTU, BACnet/MSTP, etc.)
- Advanced English proficiency
- Prior experience on call center, or remote technical support preferred.
