Technical Program Lead- Power Electronics
Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Technical Program Lead- Power Electronics.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year.

What you'll do:
The Technical lead for power electronics will lead the definition of the architecture and design of complex remote electronic units for system and motor control of aerospace electro-mechanical actuation systems in the research and development design stage. The candidate will drive value to the project team by supporting the development of innovative, high reliability controllers that need to be design for Development Assurance Level A. The candidate will need to collaborate with cross functional teams and additional tech leads to ensure that interface functionality and testing is executed efficiently for the design of the power electronics.The ideal candidate will have experience in aircraft flight control actuation systems and other complex power electronics.
Job Responsibilities
• Knowledge of aerospace engineering in support of flight control system & subsystem definition, development, integration, all verification methods to include review of ICDs, modeling/simulation, test and evaluation, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems. Specifically the design and process knowledge for the development of power electronics for flight control systems.
• Lead the development of high reliability modular power electronic architecture for multiple actuation systems.
• Develop tools, design methods, analysis, and verification techniques to ensure efficient and accurate design of the power electronics.
• Participate and/or lead ideation events (Innovation Summits, Design Bursts, etc.)
• You will peform validation efforts based upon analysis and testing performed on hardware.
• Own the development of engineering deliverables such as power electronic requirements, block diagrams, schematics, and layouts.
• Lead the safety evaulation and the overall design assurance level for the power electronics.
• Work directly with internal and external customers, suppliers, project engineers, design engineers, test engineers, software / electronics functional leads, program management, and other product team members to develop power electronics.
• Champion process adherence and improvement across the engineering organization and enforces adherence to processes and standards on assigned programs.
• Serves as a subject matter expert externally and internally. This includes leadership/active participation in external industry and technical groups, mentoring junior level staff and consulting internal business and engineering partners.

• Actively contributes to and guides team members on IP generation
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an Accredited institution
- Minimum of 15 years engineering experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographical area (49512) will be considered. Active Duty Military Service memebers are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Technical knowledge:
- Knowledge of aerospace safety reliability and maintainability process and practices Knowledge of civil aviation regulations governing system design
- Knowledge of systems engineering processes (e.g. SAE ARP 4754A, ARP4761, DO-254 and/or DO-178)
- Experience in product development
- Experience with engineering processes/tools required
- Experience with IBM Jazz (DNG, RQM, RTC) or equivalent tool
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of DO 330/331
- Knowledge of DO178 B/C
- Knowledge of ARINC 429 and 825 communication protocol.
- Familiarity to use Matlab Simulink and AMESim
Skills:
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication presentation skills and the ability to work well with customers and development team members

Ability to travel internationally (< 25%) in support of design reviews, Non-Advocate Reviews, customer and supplier visits
