This position will be responsible for managing a global organization consisting of employees and service teams that deliver enterprise application development support for key technologies like ABAP, BTP, BW, Integration, Data Analytics, Portal, Fiori and BOPF. Through the delivery of these services, the role shall interface globally with IT across platforms like Oracle, Integration layers including their leadership teams, subject matter experts and application consumers within Eaton. This position is also responsible for building the strong partner ship with the leadership of development teams to drive optimisation and high level of coding standards.The position is also responsible for managing relationships with suppliers that are delivering production support services in the above areas. This includes a spectrum of responsibilities that range from day to day oversight of teams from the suppliers to establishing long term strategies to deliver best cost support focusing on customer and business needs. Information gathering, analysis, providing insights and recommendation on improving production support, delivery on short, near and long-term basis will be key. A deep understanding of ITIL/ITSM processes (problem, incident, request, change and release management) are required. This position will play a key role in a leadership capacity within the APPCOE support organization and build capabilities through establishing key work processes and standards, building, developing teams and managing their performance.This role shall represent and deliver to customer expectation by questioning, escalating, and challenging teams / services (internal and external) that are not meeting metrics defined at the enterprise levels. Communication plans and formats to key stakeholders in this space shall be led by this role. This role is accountable for production development & monitoring support services and represents 16+ employees & contractors globally. The ability to recognize and develop individual and leadership talent by leveraging the Eaton leadership model will be key.
What you'll do:
Provide global leadership for delivering ABAP, BTP, BW, Integration & Portal for support services is all SAP Systems (S4 & ECC)
• Drive AMS partners' performance and ensure the achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs) and related metrics.
• Provide/participate in inputs for solution architecture, ensure technical alignment, intergration solutions and facilitate solution delivery
• Lead ongoing support, maintenance, updates, solution quality, and continuous improvement of the SAP Un1ty technical areas like workflow, portal, BOPF and integrations with other applications.
• Deliver support for a high volume and complex set of applications (4K + support tickets & tasks) in the form of Incidents and Requests. Provide on-call rotation for level-three support on a 24x7 basis to ensure continuous service to the end user community.
• Leverage ITIL and ITSM best practices to achieve service excellence related to Incidents, Requests, Change and Problem Management. Drive continuous improvements (CI) through leverage of EBS tools and processes as appropriate.
• Participate in the collaboration with functional teams and SMEs from module/other IT teams to Drive process improvements, continuous improvements (CI) through leverage of EBS tools and processes as appropriate.
• Lead and participate in the collaboration with Functional teams and SMEs to: understand/gather/document technical requirements; analyze/design/document integration processes; the development and execution of Unit test scripts
• Manage relationships and support engagement between Eaton and strategic IT suppliers related in above areas.
• Develop customer relationships and focus on customer satisfaction via efficient service management, meeting SLAs at all levels, managing escalations and effectively communicating on going status of KPIs.
• Plan for future-state technology portfolios and IT program investments for SAP ABAP, BW, BTP, Cloud, Protal/FIORI, & BOPF.
• Establish the necessary training and development plans to maintain a highly effective, competent staff. Counsels subordinates in career path and skill development. Prepares and manages performance for and evaluation of subordinates• Develop communication strategies and leading communications with key stakeholders globally.
• Able to create benchmarking and comparison to industry standards and continuously improve effectiveness of IT processes/solutions and driving cost out. (Leaverage AI capabilities to drive automation, CI initiatives)• Assess and manage future changes/enhancements/software updates.
• Ensure the adherence to all Internal/External audit and SOX IT controls• Drive continuous improvement in training programs and technology adoption processes.
• Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and support across different departments.
• Encourage innovation and creative problem-solving within the role.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and maintain security standards when dealing with AI and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years' experience in SAP
Technical Skills:
- 10+ years' experience in SAP
- 3-5 years' experience leading Technical delivery or production support for a large, complex organization
- 3-5 years' Experience working with Managed Services type of Engagement
- Experience managing global services and software product supplier relationships
- Expertise in ITIL / ITSM
- ServiceNow and JIRA usage experience a plus
- Advance SAP ABAP Technical knowledge across modules like SD, FICO, PP, MM, GTS and EHSM and S4 systems
- Renowed exposure of SAP BTP, Portal and SAP Cloud technologies
- Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills and the ability to communicate with all level of IT and businesses
