We are looking for a dedicated Tax Manager (m/f/d) for Germany. The position's dynamic responsibilities will include all aspects of international tax including but not limited to tax audit support, planning projects as they arise, gathering and analysing information to support tax positions, partnering with Eaton's business operations, participating in cross-functional projects and assistance with corporate tax returns.
What you'll do:
- Assist with the analysis of Merger and Acquisition projects, Reorganisations, and Legal Entity Simplication efforts as necessary.
- Assist with queries and requests from Tax Authorities.
- Monitor submission of corporate tax returns for Germany and support the alignment with accounting and information gathering process.
- Stay in touch and communicate with business operations to understand their business and potential impact of changes to the tax position of Eaton.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and international developments and analyze tax risk and opportunities for Eaton and take required actions.
- Analyzing changes in Eaton's business and footprint to identify areas of tax opportunity or risk. Participate in cross-functional meetings to develop a network of peers for the purpose of optimizing the flow of information into and out of the department
Qualifications:
- Third level education (at least a Bachelor's Degree)
- Tax Advisory Qualification preferred
- 3 to 5 years experience in a big 4, well reputed tax firm, or multinational tax department
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of corporate income taxation and general knowledge of transfer pricing
- Familiarity with Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Familiarity with IT landscape like SAP and Datev (German tax tool) would be preferred
- Analytical skills for problem solving with focus on simple solutions
- Excellent written & oral communications skills in English
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and good organizational skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts for technical and non-technical audience
