Tax Analyst

Eaton is currently seeking a Tax Analyst to join our Canadian tax team. This is a hybrid role based at the Mississauga, Ontario site.

What you'll do:

This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to deepen their experience in corporate income tax, accounting, and compliance within a multinational organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, International Tax Strategy, you will support Canadian income tax compliance, tax accounting, audits, and the implementation of tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and file Canadian corporate income tax and information returns, maintaining accurate filing records and assessments.
• Prepare quarterly tax provision packages and complete related tax account reconciliations.
• Calculate income tax instalments and prepare tax cash forecasts.
• Monitor non-resident payments, assist with withholding tax administration, and prepare annual T4A NR and NR4 information returns.
• Collaborate with local finance teams to gather information for tax incentives (e.g., SR&ED, E business) and assist with related filings.
• Prepare audit documentation and provide audit support.
• Stay current on legislative changes and assess impacts on the organization.
• Mentor and support co-op students.
• Contribute to various ad hoc tax projects and initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Basic Qualifications:
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 8 months of relevant corporate tax (T2) experience.
• No relocation is provided for this role.
• This hybrid role requires working on site (hybrid schedule) at our Mississauga office.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Pursuing or holding a CPA designation.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot) and experience with ERP systems such as Oracle or SAP.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $69000 - $87000 a year.
