Switchgear Modernization Director
Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Switchgear Modernization Director.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $165000 - $242000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
Direct and coordinate the activities of the Switchgear Modernization product line, including six locations, achieving sales, profit and growth goals while continually improving quality and customer service levels. Responsible for carrying out company policies and providing local market knowledge to the strategic planning process as well as developing and executing sales and marketing strategies.
In this position you will:
- Act as operations leader in conjunction with sales, marketing and operations management and peers to ensure top line sales and bottom line profit objectives are met. Provide strategic direction to identify and develop prospective new customers. Keep current on trends and significant issues providing direction for profit and strategic planning processes.
- Maintains effective relationships within services to internal and external customers nationally, including six locations.
- Leadership includes direct reports from all manufacturing functions as well as product line management and direct report responsibilities. Facilitate teaming among zones within and across the regions to support multinational customers and/or industries.
- Develop forward looking profit plan and monthly forecasts with accuracy so that the operation meets these numbers on a daily, monthly, and yearly basis.
- Responsible for budgeting and procurement of capital equipment for the manufacturing locations, efficient execution of sales quotes, cost control, leveraging subcontractors, inventory management, managing receivables, and turn of backlog and projects.
- Works with credit department, resolves terms & condition issues with the contracts department, and work with collections.
- Annually assist in the development of a strategic plan (5-10 year outlook) to determine growth and profit opportunities for the product line.
- Assure effective and skilled staff through recruiting, assessment of talent, training & development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal/management, and conformance to applicable company policies and standards. Provide leadership and direction to ensure professional growth for employees and retention within the region.
- Assure the safety of employees who work in low, medium, and high voltage work environments. Assures strict compliance with safety policies, develops and deploys safety programs, assures safety equipment resources are available and properly tested, provides direction for proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Effectively manages leadership team of diverse and dispersed professional and technician workforce throughout assigned reconditioning centers and plants. Demonstrates good corporate citizenship.
- Assures the security and effective allocation of company resources and assets.
- Key interface with customers, sales force, manufacturing plants, product division management, and functional support staff. Interfaces and coordinates with plants, business units, and outside vendors to procure parts and services for the assigned region
- Develop and deploy product/process improvement initiatives and sharing of best practices throughout and across the manufacturing locations.
- Assure the safety of all employees and compliance with safety policies.
- Travel up to 50% of the time
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in managing and leading a product line, engineering unit OR minimum of 10 years of management experience in a related field
- Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license
- This position can be based out of any EESSD Eaton facility in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
- 8 + years of experience in managing and leading a product line, engineering unit or ten to 15 years of management experience in a related field.
