Supply Chain Manager
What you'll do:
Reporting directly to General Manager and functionally into the regional Supply Chain Manager this role will exercise control of the entire Supply Chain function in line with Eaton's SCM strategy.
Manage the source plant relationships, overall procurement of inventory and non-inventory goods from overseas divisions and local sources for Australia. Manage SCM team (inc. Distribution), delegate authority to key supervisors, buyers, production planners and schedulers. Deliver on EBS commitments and ensure compliance with EHS and SOX requirements. This position is part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Manage and direct staff engaged in the purchasing of inventory and related products from source plants and third party suppliers with the clear goal of achieving planned Inventory ($) and DOH commitments whilst providing a satisfactory level of customer service.

High level reporting/presentations via EPM to overseas divisions e.g. Corporate Shanghai and VG Asia Pacific
Manage and direct warehouse Supervisor to assist the warehouse team in the management of shipping logistics, including all inward freight movements.
Supply of forecasts of future requirements to supplying divisions.
Specification of orders for components on overseas divisions, in response to customer and internal sales forecasts.
Monitoring of OEM production and service parts requirements and advising sales/service departments on all matters relating to supply of material to customers and for new enquiries.
Preparation of monthly Rolling Forecast and presentation to senior management. Preparation for profit planning and strategic planning process.
Review and investigate sources of supply to maximize efficiency in terms of delivery times, develop alternatives where necessary.
Accountable to return profits from identification and reporting of slow moving, superseded or obsolete inventory. Develop regional actions to consume, return, or dispose of such items where necessary.
Authorisation of all material requisitions and stock discrepancies, and specification of the most appropriate, economical method of freight where necessary.
Drive and coordinate special projects in line with Eaton's material strategy.
Recommend solutions and implement improvements to systems and procedures through ongoing review and analysis.
Ensure all reporting staff have relevant job descriptions in place and they are trained to competently perform their tasks. Coordinate performance appraisal evaluations using the APEX performance management process.
Lead Monthly SIOP meetings
Lead and rollout annual stocktake
Responsible for Facility management. Facility maintenance & repair via contractors when required.
Qualifications:
Skills:
• CPIM certification qualification via American Production and Inventory Control Society
• Undergraduate degree in Business, Purchasing or similar and post graduate qualifications highly regarded.
• Thorough knowledge of stock control in inventory management procedures.
• Sound technical knowledge of Eaton Truck & Automotive supplied products.(ideal)
• Interpretation of drawings and basic understanding of service manuals.
• Complete knowledge of Eaton systems and procedures to allow processing of orders, returns, rebuilding of core units and quality control of all product sold.
• Proficiency with Oracle ERP system and Microsoft Office Suite esp Excel
• Familiarity with Eaton business tools including EBS, Talenthub & Eaton Quality System.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing; Six Sigma
