Supplier Quality Engineer Sr

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer Sr.

What you'll do:

Basic function: (Describe the primary function and/or fundamental purpose of the position)
Control and ensure the quality of the supplied raw material component to meet product specification on time and in the right volumes, following Eaton Quality Management System and Customer Requirements.

Main responsibilities and authority: (List the main functions of the role, being clear and concise. If this is a re-evaluation of an existing role, highlight the job responsibilities that are new to the role)

A. Led the APQP process to ensure flawless launches with suppliers.
• PPAP process.
• Run and rate validation.
• Supplier Capacity validation against Customer demand.
• Packaging approvals.
• Component Safe launch process (LW-10)
• Incoming inspection gages requirements.
• Request Tooling tag based on customer specific requirements

B. Provides the quality interface between the organization and their suppliers.
• Manage supplier complaints thru the DMR process including charge back process (QA alert, Containments (ERP segregation and release), root cause and CAPA using 8D, material disposition through RMA).
• Work with planning team to avoid production line down and customer disruption due to a supplier issue.
• Monitor supplier performance and focus five processes for most disruptive supplier.
• Supplier proactive/reactive visits.
• Maintain healthy relationship with supplier focus on win-to-win business.

C. Monitor supplied raw material component thru Incoming Inspection process
• Maintain and update Incoming inspection plans at Wisper based on PQE/APQP Eng. feedback.
• Maintain less than 48 hours aging to ensure prompt disposition of non-conforming parts.
• Maintain MRB/Hold location below defined goals (currency in usd. and aging).
D. Support quality team (PQE/APQP)
• Active Participation in problem solving activities related to process and supplier issues (Scrap, FTQ, customer issues).
• Lead additional support from supplier to perform deeper analysis helping the root cause analysis (Using equipment not available at Eaton)
• Involve SDE and VNA SQE to support Reynosa plant supplier issues.
• EE. MESH compliance, follow up environmental and safety requirements applicable in assigned areas

Qualifications:

Education level required:
• Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering

Years and area of experience required:
• 3-5 years as SQE, plastic and metal-mechanical commodities.

Technical competencies:
• External requirements: Automotive Customer Specific Requirements (ISO 9000, IATF, BIQS, Q1, VDA). Core tools knowledge (APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, PFMEA, PCP, PFD)
• Analytical & Statistical Tools: Problem Solving Skills, CQE certification / Six Sigma/Green Belt desired, GD&T
• Continues Improvement Competencies:
To achieve intermediate level for the following CI tools: 5's, SW, VSM, TVSM.
To achieve advanced level for BPS tool.

Additional Information:

ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM RESPONSABILITY
• Separate dangerous residues from the normal trash
• Place the dangerous residues (gloves, cloths, etc.) in the assigned containers.
• Maintain area clean and free of contaminants.
• Not a waste of water or electricity.
• Report any activity that can put in risk my safety and environment.
• Identify and give adequate disposition to all chemical products which can contaminate the environment.
• Acting immediately in chemists' discharge case.
• Ensure the rights containers for disposition of dangerous residues (identifying containers and containers to prevent discharge)

• Ensuring the integration of the quality management system requirements into the organization's business processes.
• Ensuring that the quality management system achieves its intended results.

• Support and participate in the Fresh Eyes Audit, ISO IATF/ EQMS Policies/ Group Procedures/ Local Procedures, etc.
