Sr Supplier Quality Engineer

Eaton's IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Sr Supplier Quality Engineer.

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Responsible to manage, maintain, and improve the Supplier Quality System in order to accomplish the requirements and specifications of the design of components received from suppliers.

Responsible for providing support to Reynosa plant in continuous improvement projects, suppliers and quality related issues.

Perform regular visits to the main suppliers and maintain communication to address any concern.

Lead KPI's quality meetings (Supplier PMM), posted DMR in the system, supplier 8D Closure, EPM metrics.

Managing Incoming Quality Inspectors responsible for all plant quality related process activities as required.

MRB material inventory administration, mantling goals in days and money according to procedure.

Support PPAP approval for NPI and transfer programs

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Implements appropriate quality procedures for the areas of: Entrance Inspection and Supplier Development.
  2. Coordinates and controls: Implementation of activities related to Supplier Quality System, Process of parts approval/ products.
  3. Co-lead or participate in quality planning for product or process development activity.
  4. Co-lead or participate in supplier quality system assessments.
  5. Demonstrate experience in measurement systems analysis.
  6. Lead cross-functional problem solving and process improvement initiatives.
  7. Lead supplier advanced quality planning activity through the product development / launch cycle.
  8. Conduct supplier quality system assessments.
  9. Manage the MRB area to reduce and maintain at low levels the number of parts in the cage.
  10. Notify to supplier about defective material and manage the containment activities and corrective actions.
  11. Receive, review and follow up PPAP approval process to achieve PPAP approvals for current, new and transferring part numbers.
  12. Follow up Focus supplier program to help suppliers with low quality performance to improve quality and track results on monthly basis to achieve take them out of the Focus supplier list.
  13. Safe launch process for NPI or transferring part numbers.
  14. Modify existing inspection programs.
  15. Knowledge in measurement equipment.
  16. Drawing interpretation
  17. Support Production SPC and Engineering special projects by collecting high quality dimensional data.
  18. Develop data reports for inspection requests.

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

  • 5+ years of experience in areas of similar areas.
  • PPAP'S, Core tools
  • Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Electronics or Mechanics.
  • Fluent in English/Spanish (conversational & written).
  • VISA
  • Availability to travel
