Sr Quality Engineer
Eaton's IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Sr Quality Engineer.
Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- Responsible for providing support to Reynosa plant with in-process and customer quality issues.
- Perform regular visits to the customers and maintain communication to address any concerns.
- Support Reynosa plant with implement irreversible corrective actions requested by customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Implements appropriate quality procedures for the areas of: Inspection Process, Final Audit
B. Participates in the initial manufacturing process to establish effective means of inspection and control.
C. Participates in the continuous improvement process for existing and future processes.
D. Develops, submits PPAPs:
• Leads PPAP, assists and provides quality support to APQP to complete PPAP package to customers
• Elaboration of Control Plans and support on PFMEAs,
• Implementation of SCP Charts.
• Creation, implementation and control of correcting actions,
• Develop MSA Studies for equipment listed on Control Plans
E. Assists with the implementation of quality systems (ISO 9001:2015, IATF:16949)

F. Participates on internal quality audits (IATF:16949 and EQMS Policies).
G. Participates on continuous Improvement and Error Proof projects (Green Belt Projects).
H. Participates on APQP teams to bring product to market.
I. Performs Layered Process Audit (LPA).
J. Participates in Quality Gemba Walks.
K. Participates on MRB meeting to provide disposition for material into the quarantine area.
L. Reviews Warranty claims into the Quality Customers Portals (OEM)
M. Has the authority to stop shipment and stop production to correct quality problems.
N. Develop, lead, and promote a culture in the organization that supports the expected results in the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental system (MESH).
O. Maintain waste segregation culture.
P. Separate hazardous waste from the normal trash
Q. Place waste according to the assigned containers.
R. Maintain your area clean and free of contaminants.
S. Not waste of water or electricity.
T. Report any activity that can put in risk my safety and environment.
U. Identify and give adequate disposition to all chemical products, which can contaminate the environment.
V. Act/Report immediately any chemical discharge case.
W. Ensure the rights containers for disposition of hazardous waste (identifying containers and containers to prevent discharge).
Qualifications:
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
• 2-3 years of experience in areas of similar areas.
• Bachelor Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanics or Electronics.
• Knowledge of Quality standards (ISO 9001:2015, IATF:16949:2016, ISO14001).
• Management of measurement tools.
• Fluent in English/Spanish (conversational & written).
• Visa (indispensable requirement).

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCES
Analytical/ Statistical Tools & Methods. Advanced - The knowledge of a wide range of problem solving tools & methods, including statistics, combined with the ability to select & apply them to make data based decisions to sustain higher levels of process or product quality. Employees operating at the Advanced level of the Analytical/Statistical Tools & Methods competency are subject matter experts on statistical tools and the application of these tools and are certified as a Six Sigma Black Belt. Employees are able to lead complex problem solving projects and demonstrate the ability to apply all the commonly used statistical tools, such as MSA, SPC, DOEs, etc, across organizational boundaries and functions. Employees have mentored and trained others in acquiring knowledge on Six Sigma and advanced statistical techniques.
External Requirements. Intermediate - The competency of knowledge, practice and application of the Product / Process and Quality System standards of the International Certification Bodies, Industry specific Regulatory Authorities and Customers contractually specified Quality Requirements. Employees operating at the Intermediate level of the External Requirements competency have a working knowledge of national and international standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015, IATF:16949:2016, AS) as well as industry, regulatory, or customer specific requirements for product validation and approval. Employees have experience conducting quality audits and assessments of medium to large facilities.
Product/ Process Quality Planning. Advanced - Product/Process Quality Planning (Advanced Quality Planning: AQP) is the ability to strategically define the Critical to Quality elements of a product/process, and the knowledge to effectively analyze, assess and mitigate the risks associated with any potential failures. Employees operating at the Advanced level of the Product/Process Quality Planning competency are considered subject matter experts in the requirements as they pertain to industry, regulatory and customer requirements. Employees have experience in teaching and mentoring others in the tools, techniques and metrics of AQP. Employees have lead PROLaunch/ AQP cross-functional teams at the Business Group level.
Quality Leadership. Foundation - Quality Leadership is the knowledge of quality management systems and support practices. This competency includes the ability to efficiently and effectively assess performance, set strategy aligned with the business and use metrics to drive continuous improvements. Employees operating at the Foundational level of the Quality Leadership competency have a basic knowledge of the Eaton Quality Management Systems (EQMS) and have worked in an environment with a certified quality management system such as ISO9001:2015, IATF:16949:2016, or AS9100.
