Sr IT Analyst
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Provides and may lead, desktop, basic application, and telecom support at Eaton locations. This position will participate in, or may lead, the centralized support for IT applications and systems to ensure timely, reliable, cost effective service to Eaton employees and customers. Performs and may lead daily activities relating to IT Site Infrastructure Support (SIS) of Data Networks - especially LAN, PCs, Servers, Telephony, and related systems. Possesses a detailed technical understanding of existing systems. Performs and may lead testing and evaluation of systems as part of a team. Performs and may lead analysis of system related issues. Creates system documentation and best practices in concert with other team members. The successful candidate will also be responsible for working collaboratively with the Zone SIS team and Corporate IT functional groups and participates on initiatives that are part of Eaton Business System processes, which raise the quality of support provided across the entire organization. This position may be responsible for all IT initiatives and directives that impact a location. They may also be the primary IT SIS point of contact for business leadership at the site. May provide work leadership and direction for less experienced Analysts relative to technical expertise.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
A. Provides 1st and/or 2nd level PC support as applicable for infrastructure hardware and software in order to provide the customer with a workaround or a fix.
B. Provides desk-side support at sites and may be the main point of contact for desk-side support at the site(s).
C. Participates in, and may lead small or medium, IT Initiatives.
D. Participates on projects as directed by IT Site Infrastructure Support (SIS). May lead small or medium projects.
E. Coordinates, schedules, tests, implements and documents application upgrades or patches in order to remain on current levels of software utilized in the supported sites.
F. Gathers and analyzes information needed to support IT business metrics.

G. Maintains control of desktop software and hardware in order to ensure license compliancy and asset management.
H. Recommend and implement software and hardware upgrades to support IT initiatives and comply with established standards.
I. Recommends improvements to and maintains the infrastructure in order to decrease downtime and maintain quality.
J. Stay current with industry trends in Information Technology advancements
K. Partner with other groups to seek out opportunities to increase end-user operational efficiency
L. Provides guidance and/or escalated support and problem resolution to more complex issues
M. Recommends standards for continuous improvement.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor's degree
- Fluent in English
- Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Operating Systems, familiarity with manufacturing applications where applicable, networking, basic telephony. Office 365 , Windows 11
- Three to five years experience preferred and ITIL, MCSA, or comparable certification desirable. Under the direction of a project manager participates in projects of various scale.
- Skilled in preventive and corrective maintenance, knowledge in multifunctional printing devices
- Project management experience leading small/medium scale projects.
