SMT Manager
Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.
Eaton's IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a SMT Manager.
What you'll do:
Primary Function:
Lead and optimize our SMT operations within a high-mix EMS manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for an experienced SMT leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong people leadership and operational discipline.
Essential Functions:
1 Lead new equipment introductions initiatives aligned to the business through the use of project management process
2 Design, develop or improve existing processes to ensure safety, quality and productivity, via application of lean manufacturing techniques.
3 Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for SMT production operations
4 Oversee programming, operation, and maintenance of SMT equipment (printers, pick & place, reflow, AOI, X-ray)
5 Plan and control daily production schedules to meet quality and delivery targets
6 Use data analysis software (i.e. Excel, Access & Minitab) in root cause analysis efforts, including 8D analysis.

7 Deploys strategies to reduce waste, manufacturing cycle times, and nonvalue added operations or activities in the manufacturing floor.
8 Drive continuous improvement in throughput, yield, and process stability, Resolve equipment, quality, and process issues with minimal downtime
9 Monitor and address employee actions or behavior to ensure adherence with required policies, procedures, systems, and rules.
10 Desing and deploys Leader Standard Work concepts and Tier meetings execution and associated reports and documentation.
11 Assesment and validation of new technologies, equipment, tools and strategies in adherence to the I4.0 initiatives and following Capital finance guidelines.
12 Assure the proper implementation of the Validation process for Cost Out projects, Obsolete or Alternate components, Design Improvements and others following internal procedures.
Qualifications:
Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution required.
Minimum 5 years of experience with SMT maintenance and manufacturing processes.
Minimum 3 years electronics manufacturing experience as supporting engineering.
Proven and strong knowledge in SMT, Analytical / Statistical Tools & Methods, Product / Process Quality Planning.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish, leadership skills, proactive, strong organization and strategic mindset.
