This position is responsible for defining and communicating a shared architectural vision for a complex product (highly integrated, multiple applications) that enables them to support current and future business needs.

The SAP System Architect - Source & Make will be required to be a expert in SAP PP & QM module with exposure to manufacturing processes within a highly integrated and diverse IT landscape.
They will collaborate with Agile teams to consider solutions, validate technology assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and converge on a solution.
Finally, the System Architect will work closely with Enterprise and Solution Architects to deliver solutions that are aligned to the broader architecture guardrails.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in the planning, definition, development, and high-level design of complex product solutions and architectural alternatives
- Enable a continuous delivery pipeline through proper design guidelines
- Define and communicate system interfaces, data structures, data storage, integrations, cybersecurity considerations, test automation concepts, and deployment approaches
- Configure standard business process in Production Planning Module in both ECC and S/4HANA
- Design business process integration between SAP PP & SAP QM in ECC & S/4HANA
- Establish and communicate critical nonfunctional requirements
- Consider the impact economic boundaries have on design decisions and operate accordingly
- Participate in solution planning, incremental planning, product demos, and inspect and adapt events
- Plan and develop the architectural runway for a product that supports desired business outcomes
- Provide technical oversight and encourage security, quality, and automation
- Effectively negotiate with the business to ensure nonfunctional work (e.g. patching, platform upgrade etc.) is properly prioritized and worked on to reduce the accumulation of technical debt over time
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications (Must Haves):
- Bachelors' degree from an accredited
- Minimum seven (7) years in SAP PP configuration and implementation
- Working experience ECC & S/4 environment
- No relocation is offered for this position. All candidates must currently reside within 50 miles of one of the following: Beachwood, OH: Galesburg, MI: Houston, TX: Menomonee Falls, WI: Raleigh, NC: Moon Township, PA
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive experience utilizing best practices in SAP ECC and S/4 HANA
- Expert level understanding of Production Planning, Quality Management module in both ECC and S/4 HANA environment
- Extensive experience integrations with WM/EWM, MM, SD, FI/CO, as well as boundary systems such as intralogistics, shopfloor connectivity (IoT), PLM and MES
- Working knowledge of EDI
- Exposure to SAP BTP environment is preferred
- Extensive experience with SAP APIs, Event Mesh and Kafka is preferred.
- Extensive experience working with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban
