Senior Specialist - Cloud Architecture

Effective collaboration and stakeholder management are critical to the success of this role. The Senior Cloud Architect will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to define technical requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. The architect will also provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior architects and engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

Ensuring the security and compliance of cloud solutions is a top priority. The Senior Cloud Architect will implement robust security measures, conduct regular security audits, and ensure adherence to data privacy regulations and compliance standards. This includes working with security teams to address vulnerabilities and ensure the integrity of cloud infrastructures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronics from an accredited institution required.
• Preferred - Master's Degree from an accredited institution.
• Certifications in Azure Architecture, Distributed Computing

Skills:

• 15 to 20 years of software design and development experience

• 8+ years of experience with Microsoft cloud technologies

• Microsoft certified Azure solution architect

• Expertise in design and implementation of cloud applications

• Solid experience in the software industry with a proven track record of deploying high quality products

• Technical leader for globally distributed teams in products or platforms

• Proven expertise in software design and development

• Solid understanding of software design principles, algorithms, object-oriented design and use of design patterns, interfaces protocols

• Knowledge of Cybersecurity requirements and compliance

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance the value proposition and quality of the engineering deliverables

• Extensive knowledge in software development and coding languages like (C# .Net, Java etc.)

• Knowledge of Archimate and other modeling languages / tools is an added advantage

• Sound knowledge of design patterns, object oriented design principles, secure coding and cybersecurity best practices

• Good understanding of Software Quality Assurance Principles

• Proven ability to think beyond the present into the future to ensure software solution is upgradable and improved over time

• Understanding of how software solutions can be monetized based on features and customer deployments

• Proven ability to drive process frameworks and improvements (e.g. CMMI) including requirements management, defect tracking, build management, change management, CI/CD and configuration management tools

• Experience using SDLC management tools in a team environment (e.g. Jira, Git, etc.)

• Knowledge of Software FMEA and experience with deploying DFSS on software solutions will be an added benefit
