Senior Sales Specification Engineer - Commercial & Institutional Buildings

For our sales team in Spain, Eaton Product & Services Business is looking for a Senior Sales Specification Engineer (57862) Commercial & Institutional Buildings (C&I) with the following responsibilities:
What you'll do:
The Senior Sales Specification Engineer is responsible within their assigned region for the efficient expansion and maintenance of the network of customers who can be described as specifying entities for Commercial and Institutional Buildings related projects. These typically include engineering offices, consultants, end-users with serialized business or large projects, and more. Their primary focus is to ensure that we have knowledge of projects in the early stages and are actively involved in the planning process to tailor the specifications to Eaton. Other important aspects of the role include tracking and identifying the sources of projects not specified by Eaton. For the aforementioned projects, ensuring communication and capturing them in Salesforce is a crucial responsibility, as is ensuring that interface functions such as Project Sales Engineers, the back office, and project management are aware of the project and can follow up and execute the business. Specification Sales Engineers are fundamentally oriented towards maximizing opportunities in quantity and probability. They ensure to leverage internal assets optimally to move quickly from project to project. Also Specification Sales Engineers leverage internal resources best possible to maximize the Eaton Solution Spaces being applied in projects.
- Qualifying leads, prospecting & territory planning
- Building relationships with priority specifying entities
- Planning account actions, calls & opportunities
- Conducting discovery & drafting initial concepts
- Transferring descriptive concepts to backend teams
- Making bid / no-bid decisions
- Communicating with internal stakeholders & handling administration
- Regular customer check-ins & conducting business reviews
- Managing pipeline (opportunities & quotes)
- Continuous improvement & reaching beyond
- Optimizing and standardizing specification processes
- Participating in industry events & networking
Qualifications:
- Professional Technician, bachelor or master in electrical engineering OR justifiable equivalent education
- 5 years - Experience in Commercial & Institutional (C&I) Building Projects, preferably in electrical design or project management for large C&I projects, or justifiable equivalent experience.
