The production support engineering team is at the forefront of supporting operations in making delivery to customers. We are involved from the supply chain to aftermarket so there is exposure to a huge range of tasks with no two days being the same. Due to growing demand and increasing order book there is an opportunity for an additional team member.

The Quality Engineer - Advanced Quality Planning plays a pivotal role in the successful delivery of new projects and new product introductions. Embedded within cross-functional integrated project teams, you will act as the primary quality representative, ensuring that the customer's voice and all quality requirements remain central throughout the project lifecycle. Strong collaboration skills are essential, as the role requires close interaction with a wide range of functions to drive quality outcomes and project success.

What you'll do:

  • Acts as the voice of the customer and regulatory authorities to ensure all contractual, statutory, and airworthiness requirements are met across the product lifecycle.
  • Drives high standards and a right-first-time, zero-defect culture in a safety-critical aerospace environment by leading effective preventive, corrective, and containment activities.
  • Serves as the Quality focal point within Integrated Product Teams, delivering robust quality solutions and assuring the delivery of fully conforming products to the end customer.
  • Maintains and continuously improves compliance with the Quality Management System (e.g. AS/EN 9100) and actively champions Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) to support risk reduction, product integrity, and on-time delivery
  • Provides comprehensive Quality support across the full project lifecycle, from bid and contract review through to production readiness.
  • Work within dedicated integrated project teams as the quality subject matter expert, develops and implements Quality Plans to meet customer and regulatory requirements and ensures full compliance with the Quality Management System throughout design and project management activities.
  • Leads non-conformance management, including MRB ownership and root cause investigations, Manages and hosts customer audits, source inspections, and configuration audits (FCA/PCA), and completes First Article Inspections (AS9102) to enable smooth transition of new products into production.
  • Generates and tracks Quality metrics, drives continuous improvement initiatives, and works in full compliance with Safety, Health & Environment policies, taking responsibility for personal and collective safety. Willingness to learn aspects of project management and the design lifecycle.

Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND
  • 10 years within an Aerospace environment preferably within Quality

Skills:

  • Strong Technical Knowledge
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Understanding of Project Management and Project Management Lifecycles
