The Senior Order Manager will be managing the post order process of obtained Engineered to Order assignments in line with applicable procedures and guidelines so that timely delivery can take place in accordance with order and customer expectations. The Project Engineering department manages ATO (Assemble to Order) and ETO (Engineering to Order) orders for the ESS Business Unit products. The Project Engineer supervises multiple ETO orders simultaneously in different stages of execution.
What you'll do:
- Receive and assess sales orders for technical feasibility, cost, delivery timelines, commercial and payment terms, and level of standardization.
- Identify and negotiate deviations or issues with Sales Organizations or directly with customers, in line with the applicable authorization frameworks.
- Analyze order specifications to estimate required man-hours and materials, using experience data, calculations, or support from the Engineering department.
- Convert order data into technical documentation for Production, and define outsourced process steps in coordination with the Procurement team.
- Prepare order planning and kick-off reports, compile technical documentation, and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional project teams (Assembly, Logistics, Engineering, Planning) with support from local leadership.
- Monitor progress and interdependencies of operational sub-processes, including parallel activities, and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Manage changes during execution, including additional or reduced work, using calculation tools (e.g., Bid Manager) and in consultation with the relevant Sales Country Organization.
- Organize and oversee customer visits, including Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
- Plan and coordinate site activities with Field Service, and contribute to continuous improvement of processes and tasks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent;
- 4-7 years of work experience in electrical engineering sales, marketing/product marketing or technical support role.
Skills:
- Technical knowledge of Low and Medium Voltage systems;
- Strong project-management, commercial & negotiations skills;
- Strong organizational, presentation, communication and time management skills;
- Ability to work within an international, culturally diverse and matrix-based organisation;
- Strong language capability in Turkish & English.
