Eaton's PCS division is currently seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the team. This is an onsite position, based at our Edmonton, AB location. This role also includes up to 10% travel.

Who We Are: Eaton's Edmonton Power Centre (EPC) is our Canadian Manufacturing Facility that specializes in custom configurations of low and medium voltage switchgear, medium voltage motor control centres, and coordination centre for our Integrated Power Centre (E-House) offering. EPC creates custom product configurations, designs transition sections to replace outdated equipment, configures solutions for retrofit challenges, and manufactures unique front-access low and medium voltage switchgear solutions. The expected annual salary range for this role is $82000 - $102000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

Position Overview:
Eaton's finance organization aims to enhance capabilities and provide high-standard operations through advanced processes, technologies, and talent development initiatives. The Operations Finance Analyst collaborates with Supply Chain and Operations to ensure efficient and effective product delivery at the plants. This role will oversee financial operations for the Edmonton Power Center (EPC) and CORE, working with supply chain and operations teams to optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, effectiveness, and cost reduction. Responsibilities include providing financial support and insights to drive operational efficiency and profitability, and managing financial planning, forecasting, and analysis for a specific business area. This position will lead finance teams and promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead supply chain finance activities, including cost management, capital spend analysis, and inventory optimization.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and quality teams to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
  • Analyze production costs, monitor and control budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Work with plant managers and other operational leaders to develop financial plans, forecast production expenses, and assess the financial impact of manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain quality standards.
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and support capital expenditure projects.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Align financial goals with operational objectives to enhance performance.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience leading finance operations to drive productivity and efficiency across operations. With manufacturing-focused finance experience, you have a proven track record in financial planning and analysis, forecasting, and cost management. Utilizing data analytics, you can translate complex financial and operational insights into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership and other stakeholders. As a collaborative leader, you partner closely with operations teams to deliver results. We are looking for candidates who are diverse in their backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, and who can bring fresh and innovative ideas to our team.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • University degree or college diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 5 years of finance operations / manufacturing experience, including partnering with senior leaders to achieve successful outcomes focused on strategic planning and business partnerships
  • Minimum 3 years of financial analyst experience for a large, multinational company
  • Data analytics experience (Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
  • No relocation provided for this role. This role requires working onsite at our Edmonton, AB office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of federal/provincial laws and regulations regarding taxes.
  • Oracle ERP experience
  • Strong knowledge of effective internal control processes.
