Senior Finance Analyst
Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Senior Finance Analyst.
What you'll do:
Primary Function
The Finance Analyst will assist the site in the financial statement preparation and analysis. Supporting the finance operations as month end, forecasts and adhoc reports requesting by the Finance plant leader or other departament in the site. Compiling division & corporate reports and manage internal control. Perform accounting tasks of a difficult nature while following general instructions with a fair degree of discretion allowed for work interpretation. The position requires a high understanding of the accounting systems including the ability to modify or develop new procedures to accomplish assignments.
- Essential Functions
General accounting, Internal Controls in plant, develop and keep internal procedures aligned to Corporate and Divisional policies - Complete financial & accounting request and support the budgets, forecasts and Profit Plan activities.
- Prepare financial analysis for management, including analysis of main variances to forecast and profit plan related to material price and usage, surcharges, XR, transfer prices, logistics and changes in routes
- Lead annual Burden Rates definition and Inventory Roll up processes, analyze and define costs for new products in plant; complete quotation activities for new and current products (cost models)
- Lead inventory actions such as physical inventory, cycle counts, inventory adjustments, analysis of excess and obsolete and shrinkage
- Assure all inventory transactions are properly booked to avoid unexpected impacts to financial results Support Stars & Dogs analysis by comparing current expenses to standard cost
- Lead activities related to flex productivity, including expense analysis and control
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure meet guidance on second balance sheet reviews
- Complete assigned EHS actions items. (Positive Interruptions, report near misses, accomplish with MESH requirements: EHS programs, training, etc.)
- Perform CI tasks (CI trainings, cost out validation, process improvements, usage of lean tools for problem solving)
- Complete annual audits assigned to all internal auditors
Qualifications:
Education level required
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial field from accredited institution
- English: conversational advanced
Years of experience required
- 3-5 years of experience in financial departments
- Strong experience in costs, budgets, forecasts and Profit Plan activities
Diplomas/certifications
1) SAP / Oracle business system experience.
2) Master's degree
3) Foundational knowledge of lean principles and manufacturing processes
Systems
- SAP / Oracle business system experience.
- MS Office: Excel is required
Functional competencies
Analyze & evaluate the financial statements, Make finance proyections, General accounting records, and identify imporovemente areas in internal controls.
