Eaton's FFD Fluid Filtration Division division is currently seeking a Senior Filtration Systems Specialist at our Chanhassen, MN site location! This is a hybrid, role, with typical office cadence of 3 days onsite, and 2 remote. This role involves travel, which can be up to 50% in a month, but will vary based on customer demand, and travel at times will be at 0%.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

Job Summary

This role is responsible for delivering end-to-end technical support in North America for industrial filtration systems, encompassing on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and ongoing customer support. The position partners closely with field sales, engineering, plant operations, and laboratory teams to resolve complex equipment and system issues, support product improvements, and enable new product development. In addition, the role serves as a technical authority for customers and internal stakeholders by delivering training, conducting equipment demonstrations, managing rental fleet operations, and providing responsive onsite and remote support to ensure reliable performance, customer satisfaction, and service revenue growth. This role reports to the Global Commercial Operations Manager for the Division.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure proper installation and operation of Eaton Filtration equipment by providing commissioning and start-up services.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair Eaton Filtration equipment to deliver a high level of customer service and operational reliability.
• Partner with plant operations and engineering teams to perform root cause analysis on product or system failures.
• Deliver technical training sessions on the operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment for customers, representatives, and internal employees.
• Plan, set up, and conduct equipment demonstrations for Customer Experience Center visits and training events.
• Support laboratory operations by assisting with test setup for customer troubleshooting activities and new product development initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support and implement product design changes as required.
• Manage the North American Rental Fleet Program, including equipment preparation, start-up support, technical assistance, packaging, shipping, and cleaning of returned units.
• Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and on-site visits, including assistance with troubleshooting, spare parts pricing, and general filtration inquiries.
• Comfort acting as a technical authority in high-pressure situations
• Additional Items:
o May be exposed to working conditions beyond those normally experienced in an office or shop environment, e.g. outside work; hot; wet; customer process plant environments, etc.
o Customers may require special safety training, criminal background check and drug screening tests
o Customer requirements may limit facial hair (e.g. beards and mustache).
o Limited International travel may be necessary

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Technical school degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of one (1) year of hydraulics, industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, or engineering experience; OR a minimum of five (5) years of hydraulics, industrial manufacturing, oil & gas, or engineering experience in lieu of degree

• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

• Must reside within a 50 mile radius of Chanhassen, MN. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement

• Must have a valid driver's license with no restrictions

Preferred:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

• Fluid Power Specialist (Hydraulics, Pneumatics and/or Electronic Controls)

• 1-3 years Oil & Gas experience

Position Criteria:

• Ability to travel up to 50% at times based on customer demand, throughout the United States. Limited International travel may be necessary

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Working knowledge of pneumatic equipment or hydraulic equipment or industrial filtration equipment

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and equipment manuals

• Professional written and verbal communication for service reports and customer interaction

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Knowledge of electrical wiring fundamentals

• Ability to read and interpret PLC wiring diagrams, control narratives and P&ID Drawings

• Competence in root-cause analysis and failure diagnostics

• Ability to deliver technical training to customers and internal teams

• Comfort acting as a technical authority in high-pressure situations
