Senior Engineer, Reindustrialization
What you'll do:
A Senior Engineer in Operating for Growth (OFG) acts as a catalyst for operational excellence, leveraging digitalization, process optimization, and structured governance to deliver sustainable growth and world-class manufacturing performance targeting focus plants. This role drives flawless industrialization and stabilization of production for new and existing products, with priority on ETO electrical assemblies (switchboards, LV assemblies). The engineer leads setup, validation, and stabilization of production lines (PTR/PPAP), orchestrates cross-functional execution on the shop floor, embeds MES/ERP/SIOP systems, and standardizes work to lift Hi5 metrics (CONC, OTD, DOH, Flex Productivity, TRCR). In parallel, the role leads / supports reindustrialization of existing plants-reconfiguring layouts, modernizing equipment, tightening routings and materials flow-and creates governance for scalability across the enterprise.
"• Industrialization & Shop-Floor Execution: Design and validate processes, tooling, fixtures, and testers; manage procurement, installation, debug, run-off, and handover. Integrate new lines into plant layouts and MES/SCADA dashboards; execute PTR/PPAP sign-off and stabilize production during product life-cycle.
• Reindustrialization: Optimize existing plants using simulation, VSM, MTM/MOST; re-layout lines; retrofit automation; enforce BOM/routing hygiene; improve material flow and inventory control.
• ETO Electrical Assemblies Focus: Rapidly resolve data and execution blockers for high-mix, low-volume builds; ensure PoU completeness, routing standardization, and trial parts readiness; maintain dashboards for capacity and constraints.
• Digital Backbone & Planning: Deploy MES/ERP/SIOP integration; enable real-time KPI dashboards; implement traceability and SPC; connect quality and planning systems for schedule stability.
• Hi5 Metrics & CI: Build visual factory and KPI cascades; run Gemba, A3, DMAIC/DFSS; publish quantified improvements in CONC, OTD, DOH, Flex Productivity, TRCR.

• Governance for Scalability: Author templates, checklists, PTR/PPAP kits, and replication playbooks; establish PMO cadence, RASI matrices, and acceptance criteria; package replication kits with code/configuration, drawings, and training assets; audit deployments and track adherence."
Qualifications:
M.E./M.Tech in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering (or related) with 3-5 years of relevant experience
Skills:
"• Industrialization: Process design; tooling/fixture/test system development; equipment procurement-to-run-off; PTR/PPAP execution; cost model validation.
• Plant Integration & Digital Systems: Layout integration; MES/Historian/SCADA dashboards; traceability & recipe/version control; ERP hooks; quality data and SPC.
• Reindustrialization: Simulation (discrete event etc.), VSM/MTM/MOST; changeover reduction; buffer sizing; capability improvement; equipment retrofit; PM/PHM; downtime analytics.
• Materials & Planning: BOM/MBOM hygiene; routing standards; PoU completeness; Kanban/lean logistics; DOH guardrails via ERP/SIOP coupling.
• Quality & MSA: Measurement system analysis; capability studies (Cp/Cpk/Pp/Ppk); digital inspection; calibration governance.
• CI & Hi5: Visual factory; A3/DMAIC/DFSS; quantified improvements in CONC/OTD/DOH/Flex/TRCR.
• Governance & Scale: PMO/gating; RASI; replication kits; audit/readiness checks; training & competency frameworks."
