Senior Cost Accounting Analyst
Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Senior Cost Accounting Analyst.
What you'll do:
Eaton is seeking a Senior Analyst to Support Cost Accounting within the Operations of Electrical Sector - Americas. Location for the Analyst who is flexible and serves as the finance business partner for the Cost accounting function for ES-A in Puerto Rico and Haina, providing timely and accurate financial information and direction to drive management action. The Senior Analyst is responsible for striving consistently to elevate the standards of the Cost Accounting Center of Excellence. Aspiring for the role to take pride in the COE and play a pivotal role in business decision making.

Track and manage financial transactions to provide reasonable assurance that costs are accurately estimated, accumulated and reported appropriately.
Essential Functions:

• Import and analyze data from plant ERP systems to calculate updated direct labor, material, and overhead rates.
• Benchmark costs against historical results and industry standards to ensure accuracy and reasonableness.
• Collaborate with plant Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Operations teams to finalize cost standards monthly and in support of annual full cost roll.
• Implement and maintain uniform costing methodologies for material, labor, and overhead across all sites.
• Ensure costing methods comply with Eaton Financial Policy and corporate guidance.
• Update standard costs for purchased and manufactured parts and perform detailed accuracy reviews.

• Verify alignment and integrity of standard cost data across all ERP and financial systems.
• Import and review ERP data comparing standard versus actual costs for material, labor, and overhead.
• Analyze Material Price Variance (MPV) and categorize variances by site and drivers.
• Compare labor rates as a percentage of material costs against plan, including Engineer to Order (ETO) environments where applicable.
• Partner with Finance and cross functional stakeholders to communicate cost drivers and support business decision making.
• Provide consultation and guidance on Physical Inventory (PI) practices as needed.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in cost/Manufacturing accounting is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate financial policies, procedures, and systems.
• Systems skills/experience desired: Oracle Financials, Mapics ERP, SAP, VISTA.
• Intermediate to expert level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English
