Our EMEA Business Service Center (BSC) in Budapest is Eaton's largest office in the region. What you'll do:

As a Senior Buyer, you will manage the value stream from suppliers to distribution centers and production plants, ensuring material availability and effective finished-goods inventory management. You will maintain accurate system records, support customer satisfaction through effective planning and execution, and report directly to the Network Purchasing Leader.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the flow of goods from suppliers/factories to distribution centers and production plants.
  • Ensure material demand is met and deliveries occur on time.
  • Hold weekly/monthly calls with top 3-5 critical vendors.
  • Maintain a clear purchase order book, reviewing overdue, unconfirmed, or open orders and rescheduling as needed
  • Maintain accurate purchasing data in SAP to ensure correct and timely PO processing.
  • Review SOPs and processes, identifying improvement needs and supporting CI actions, including RCA.
  • Allocate stock based on approved requests and manage first-level escalations from Customer Service.
  • Act as first escalation point when the Team Leader is absent.
  • Serve as key user for SAP and Kinaxis and support team members with technical questions.
  • Investigate and resolve blocked invoices weekly (price/quantity deviations).
  • Track and improve KPIs
  • Escalate incorrect MRP parameters to the Inventory Specialist.
  • Support projects and improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Respond to warehouse tickets and help solve inbound discrepancies.
  • Support CM with price, consumption, MOQ, and material analyses.
  • Train new employees.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferrably in relevant area
  • 3+ years in Purchasing/Supply Chain Management

Skills:

  • SAP MM advanced level, MS Office advanced level
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
  • Continuous Improvement mindset/experience preferred
  • Open, proactive and cooperative
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Willing to take ownership
  • Analytical and cognitive
  • Ability to analyze operational problems in a short time based on data-driven KPIs and / or unexpected critical situations (eg Delivery Problems)
