Sales Development Program & Training Manager
What you'll do:
The Sales Development Program & Training Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the implementation of segment strategy across Eaton's sales teams in the EMEA region. This role combines the responsibilities of training, coaching, content localization, strategic enablement, and change management. The coach will ensure that centrally defined standards and best practices are effectively localized and adopted by segment sales teams, enabling them to confidently sell Eaton's hardware, software, and service offerings through value-based selling.
Key Responsibilities
• Training & Coaching
- Deliver Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT), and coaching sessions tailored to segment strategy and portfolio.
- Facilitate mentoring opportunities and peer learning across sales teams.
- Develop and manage a community of local T3 (Train-the-Trainer) champions to scale training delivery in multiple languages.
• Content Localization & Development
- Localize centrally developed training content to reflect regional and segment-specific needs.
- Translate complex technical and commercial information into engaging, user-friendly materials for sales audiences.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create presentations, scripts, and reference documentation.
• Strategic Enablement & Change Management
- Understand local sales team needs and align training efforts with segment strategy and business goals.
- Partner with Sales Operations, Segment Leaders, Product Divisions, and Marketing to ensure training supports strategic initiatives.
- Lead change management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new processes, tools, and strategies.
- Manage external vendors when needed to deliver specialized training programs.
• Program Management & Reporting
-Own end-to-end program management of training initiatives, ensuring structured planning, disciplined execution, and consistent delivery against defined timelines, scope, and quality standards.
-Establish and rigorously track key performance metrics (training delivery, feedback, and impact on sales KPIs), translating insights into actionable improvements.
-Drive robust governance and reporting cadence, providing clear, data-driven updates to senior stakeholders and proactively identifying risks, dependencies, and optimization opportunities.
-Enforce strong project management practices, including stakeholder alignment, prioritization, and change control, to ensure seamless execution across markets.
-Ensure all activities consistently align with Eaton's leadership model: Thinks & Acts Strategically, Builds Organizational Capability, Gets Results, Enables Digital Mindset.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Skills:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably with a quota-carrying role or managing quota carriers.
- Strong background in value selling and customer-centric strategic selling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across EMEA (approx. 25%). - Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in instructional design, adult learning principles, and training delivery.
- Experience in technical content creation and localization.
- Familiarity with different routes to market (Direct, Project, MOEM, Channel).
- High IT literacy, especially with CRM and sales enablement tools.
- Agile working experience and strong personal curiosity.
