Eaton's Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Revenue Recognition Center of Excellence (COE) Manager.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $130000 - $190000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:

We are currently seeking a Manager Revenue Recognition Center of Excellence (COE). This position is based at our North American HQ in Beachwood, OH with hybrid work available.
Position Overview:
The Revenue Recognition COE Manager will be part of a specialized team responsible for ensuring accurate recognition under US GAAP (ASC 606) for arrangements across the organization. This role will serve as a subject matter expert, assisting with policy development, contract decision-trees, process standardization, and automation initiatives. The role will partner closely with Sales, Commercial Finance, Legal, IT, and FP&A to ensure accurate, timely revenue recognition and scalable processes. You will also oversee a team of revenue recognition accountants.
Job Responsibilities:
• Technical Leadership: Interpret and apply ASC 606 and US GAAP guidance to complex revenue arrangements, draft technical accounting memos and guidance for significant transactions.
• Operational Excellence: Implement standardize revenue recognition processes, execute SOX controls related to complex revenue recognition.
• Governance & Compliance: Comply with internal controls, US GAAP, and external audit requirements and monitor changes in accounting standards and apply their impact on company policies.

• Business Partnership: Partner with various teams to review contracts and assess revenue, cashflow implications, financial impact and provide guidance on revenue recognition implications during negotiations. Provide real-time support during contract modifications.
• Close, Controls & Reporting: Execute complex revenue close and reporting in partnership with the COE team and lead issue resolution with internal/external auditors.
• Training & Development: Assist with the delivery of training programs on revenue recognition policies and best practices.
• Leadership & Team Building: Oversee a high-performing CoE and develop revenue accountants and analysts while champion a culture of quality, speed, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Minimum of a Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution required.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and corporate roles.
• Minimum 3 years managing a team.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
Preferred qualifications:
• Master's, CPA, or equivalent.
• Public Accounting/Big 4 experience.

Skills:

Position Criteria:
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 and complex revenue arrangements.
• Experience in a Center of Excellence or highly matrixed global organization preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts in clear, business-friendly language.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and revenue automation tools.
• Proficiency with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and process automation (Alteryx, RPA).
• Attention to detail.
