R&D Director, Low Voltage

Eaton's Electrical business is hiring a R&D Director for CPC Division in Suzhou.

What you'll do:

This exciting role is to lead CPC LV R&D team in developing new products and upgrading existing products to support on business growth. The major responsibilities include the team management, schedules, product cost and project budget. The leader will manage or coordinate activities with the global design center within ICD organization.

• Direct and manage R&D resource to complete projects on-time, on-cost, and on-quality.
• Achieve profit plan goals for CPC R&D team.
• Works collaboratively with other CPC functions and global Design Center team to drive all Project design, including NPD, VAVE, localization as well.
• Customized design and new technology investigation and research.
• Manage the projects owned by Industrial Control Division US.
• Communicate and coordinate team activities with other global design centers within the ICD organization.
• Lead R&D projects and resources synergy with JV R&D teams.
• Manage direct reports, conduct performance reviews, administer merit plan, and discuss goals and development plans with direct reports.
• Organize and build talent base within the R&D team, create opportunities for growth and development of engineering team through effective development plans.
• Promote continuous learning in the engineering organization.

Qualifications:

• BSEE or BSME, MBA or MSME/MSEE is preferred
• Over 10 years' experience in product design and minimum 5 years on management role.
• Project management experience.

Skills:

• Solid electrical hardware design knowledge.
• Ability to interact successfully with other disciplines to seek out solutions to problems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• A good team player.
