Quality Technician - QA Lab 1st Shift
Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Technician - QA Lab 1st Shift. The hours for this postion are 6:30am-2:30pm.
The hourly rate for this position is $29.60/hr per hour.

What you'll do:
Eaton's Power Reliability Division is currently seeking a Quality Technician to join our team. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, Wisconsin facility and will support 1st shift operations.
The Quality Technician initiates supplier corrective action process (DMRs/QNs) and follow-up. This position will conduct internal audits, process checks, support the manufacturing departments in the deployment of Eaton Quality System (EQS) elements and Lean Manufacturing Systems and will assist maintenance of calibration and test/data collection.

• Inspect finished goods and ensure that they conform to the bill of materials, prints, specifications, test requirements, and customer specific requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints including general knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Troubleshoot non-conformances, product defects, and process scrap utilizing structured problem-solving methodology and tools such as a 5Y.
• Inspect incoming material and initiate supplier corrective action processes (DMRs/QNs) and follow-up.
• Work with hand inspection tools and equipment including thread gages, micrometers, calipers, pin gages, optical comparator and profilometers; will work to train others on these skills.
• Participate in quality data collection activities and process test data.
• Support production personnel on quality related issues, data collection, and measurement tool issues.
• Train operators in quality processes while leading by example with a positive attitude, high productivity and concern for quality and service.
• Perform computer operations: use SAP, Microsoft office tools, Quality Management, and other computer software to access drawing, bills of material and ERP systems.
• Perform layered process audits (LPAs).
• Performs other related tasks and assignments, as necessary.
• Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) or Production part Approval Process (PPAP) activities as required by change of source, process, or design.
• Pull up calibration information in electronic database and answer questions from operators on gage information.
• Create work instructions and display deeper understanding of Lean Six Sigma Problem solving methodology to identify root cause of a problem (LSS Yellow Project Eligible).
• Create 8D, PDCA, A3, pareto analysis etc.
• Process, file, and locate test reports, both manual copies and on the network.
• Understand, utilize, and update standard work.
• Create and manage new documentation: VOPs, Work Instructions, Control Plans.

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or quality role
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without out company sponsorship, now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience using PC-DMIS 2024.2
