Quality Technician (Component Areas)
What you'll do:
To support the Quality Function within the Componen Production & Automated Assembly Areas in essential aspects of quality assurance. This includes the development and deployment of quality/monitoring & measurement and test systems.
"Provide elementary quality support in order to assure quality requirements are understood and deployed by the production/support functions;
Support the development, implementation and improvement of quality systems throughout the site;
Support the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and First Article Inspection (FAI) Process, assuring that customer requirements are met when new product is introduced, or existing product is revised;
Analyse operational-level quality metrics and support periodic reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans in order to reduce quality risk;
Analyse operational statistical data related to product/process performance in order to recommend and implement quality improvements;
Investigate and eliminate the causes of non-conforming material/product. This includes assisting in customer complaint resolution (both external and internal customers) corrective/preventive action and root-cause determination;
Support the development and deployment of inspection, test / audit plans, acceptance criteria, quality/operator method sheets and quality procedures;
Participate in the auditing of product/internal quality systems and contribute to the generation of associated reports;
Participate in the calibration of monitoring and measurement equipment throughout the site;
Support the control of documentation upon the site, includes component/assembly drawings, tolerances & specifications, quality records and quality assurance procedures;
Champion EQMS Policy requirements where listed as a key quality stakeholder, in particular, PFMEA, Process Control, , Process Capability, Control of Non-conforming Material Corrective/Preventive Action;
Support ELSS Problem-solving / Standard Work as a Certified Kaizen Facilitator. Actively lead projects and be an active member of problem-solving / standard work teams;
To undertake any other relevant duties deemed necessary to support the business."
Qualifications:
GCSE or Equivalent (Maths & English)
1 Year Quality Assurance (Manufacturing/engineering preferred)
Skills:
"IT Skills particularly Microsoft Excel,
Engineering Drawings & Specification
Dimensional Inspection Equipment and practices
ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditing.
Automotive Quality Tool Kit (PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans, APQP, PPAP)"
Good verbal and written communication, be able to Work to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, organisation skills, time management.
