Eaton's IS AER FMC division is currently seeking a Quality Supervisor. Eaton's Charleston, SC location has long served as a Machining Center of Excellence for our Aerospace Group, with just under 200 employees, manufacturing hydraulic pumps for commercial and military aircraft.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - $137500.04 a year.

What you'll do:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the verification of product to requirements/processes, leading the inspection team, quality training, inspection technology specification/selection, problem investigation, discrepant material review, and disposition/recovery.

The specific functions of this position include the following:
• Develop, implement, and monitor all relevant procedures described in the Quality Management System (QMS)
• Lead internal audit program and AS9100 compliance
• Manage a team of hourly employees in the quality function including directing work and managing performance.
• Maintain accurate records to comply with company and customer record retention requirements.
• Determine, develop, and monitor inspection and verification techniques to meet design requirements, including new product releases for prototype and production products.
• Coordinate training on MSA, gage selection and use, GD&T, and special inspection techniques (e.g. flatness measurement).
• Monitor and create action plans to meet key business metrics including Productivity, On-Time Delivery, First Pass Yield, and Cycle Time/Backlog.
• Develop methods to eliminate quality problems and improve manufacturing process through collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, Supply Chain Management, and suppliers.
• Work with internal and external customers to interpret or reach agreement on quality procedures and acceptability of products.
• Champion a culture of continuous improvement and the implementation of Lean activities to eliminate waste in key processes.

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum four (4) years in Quality or Manufacturing Engineering in a manufacturing environment
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
  • This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).   • Technical and/or master's degree
  • Manager of people experience
  • ASQ certification
  • Strong Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Background
  • Experience in aerospace products and applications
  • Experience with complex machined materials
