Quality Project Engineer
Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Quality Project Engineer.
What you'll do:
Job Summary
Manage, develop, implement, monitor, maintain the quality strategy on new programs and projects related to quality management system according to ISO 9001: 2015 and Eaton Quality System (EQMS).
Job Responsibilities
A. Develop, review, manage, approve, control and distribute the controlled documents of the quality management system (Q-pulse). And ensure that they are communicated to all departments. This includes follow up on Engineering Changes On new programs.
B. Ensure that new customer requirements are communicated throughout the organization. Support and live the Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
C. Responsible for the quality activities on new programs thru the uses of Pro-launch.
D. Participate on Quality Customer Audits as well as any external audit as necessary.
E. Develop Quality reports regarding the quality management system and Product Quality. Report to management on the performance of quality management system and any need for improvement. Schedule and coordinate teams as necessary for any problem-solving process related quality topic like ST's, CCR, 8D's.
F. Develop plans and strategy for the improvement of quality metrics. (FPY, CONC, PPM's, etc) at plant level and VSM level.
G. Promote a culture of safety and actively participate in activities aimed at improving the working conditions of the plant.
H. Be sure to get the training needed to ensure product quality and strong quality system and provide training related to the Quality to people from different departments.
I. Verify the EQMS process are established, implemented, maintained and improved. Look for continuous improvements on the EQMS and Quality metrics.
J. Responsible for continuous improvement activities that can impact quality performance at plant level like SWAT teams, Reduction on ADO (Average days open)
K. Ensure that non-conforming products do not pass to the next stage of the process and are not delivered to the customer, until the deficiencies to the conditions are satisfactory and have been corrected for new programs.
Qualifications:
Education level required
- Engineering degree or related to the area of preference
Years and area of experience required
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance. #LI-MB2
Technical knowledge
- Internal Auditor ISO 9001: 2015, knowledge on Core Tools, Problem solving tools (8D).
