Quality Incoming Inspection Technician
Eaton's ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Quality Incoming Inspection Technician.
The hourly rate for this position is $28 per hour. The hours for this shift are Monday to Thursday 6:15am to 5:00pm.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
What you'll do:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Eaton's PDCA Power Distribution Control Assembly division in El Paso is currently seeking an Incoming Quality Technician. This role will execute and support coordination of the Quality Control functions and related quality assurance activities for products manufactured and assembled by the plant; plan and manage quality control activities to ensure the conformance of manufactured products/equipment with customer specifications and their unique product performance requirements; maintain frequent contacts with customers to resolve product warranty problems; oversee customer quality relations programs; and visit customer locations or equipment installations on-site to provide information about company equipment and to effectively mediate issues related to customer satisfaction and to oversee the correction of equipment problems. Voltage Assemblies automation control systems.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• The Quality Incoming Technician will support the analysis and solution of quality problems, processing/disposition of non-conforming material, preparation of inspection plans and instructions, inspections under the direction of quality engineers or supervisors (if applicable).
• Performing audits, validation calibration compliance and creating Quality documents in alignment with Quality Management System/EQS requirements.

• Support the analysis and solution of quality problems, disposition of non-conforming material, preparation of inspection plans and instructions, training of inspectors under the direction of quality engineers or supervisors (if applicable).
• Performs process / product audits in alignment with QMS / EQS requirements.
• Develop and maintain robust quality processes, consistent with Eaton Quality System, ISO, and Eaton Lean practices by creating Standard Work, Work Instructions, Operator Method Sheets, workmanship standards,8D's and Line Alerts and training operators for same.
• Review inspection plans and work with MRB Reports
• Rework and root cause analysis, plus create corrective/preventive actions as required.
• Will act as an ISO Lead Auditor: Conduct quality audits of equipment and processes, coordinate audit schedules and manage & maintain internal audits& corrective action database.
• Will help on internal or external customer audits (requirements criteria) to ensure quality and continuous product improvement. Product audit development, training others and backup
• Will adhere to Quality Control Plan compliance verification, including Crimp verification and Tooling/Gage calibration compliance for area assigned.
• Will work with the manufacturing area for improvements to lead 8D/error proof teams and defects analysis. Drive FTY/Rework issues to closure for continual improvement.

Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• Inspect and Test incoming quality Components based on a Drawings specifications.
• Minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience OR a degree in a technical discipline.
• No relocation is provided for this position, only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the El Paso, TX facility will be considered.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US on an ongoing basis without company sponsorship.
• Internal candidates (current Eaton employees) must currently work in the United States.
• Incoming Inspection experience.
• Strong computers skills. (Windows, Microsoft Office)
Preferred Qualifications:
• Proven ability to solve problems utilizing common problem-solving methodologies/tools such as PDCA,A3, 5 Why, Fishbone diagrams, pareto charts.
• Inspect and test electrical products and components to engineering drawings and specifications using inspection procedures and sampling plans as specified.
• Knowledge to work with Wisper.
• Knowledge to use AS400.
• Control of Nonconformal material.
• Material Review Board (MRB) and Problem-Solving Procedure.
• Proven ability to write technical documents such as procedures and specifications.
• IPC-620
• Good understanding of lean concepts, principles & tools such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Continuous Flow Manufacturing, Set-up Reduction, Pull Systems and Standardized Work.
• Thorough knowledge of gauging and inspection techniques.
• Training and experience with quality assurance concepts,
