QMS Supervisor
Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a QMS Supervisor.
What you'll do:
Job Summary
Ensure customer satisfaction through the effective implementation and management of the Quality Management System (QMS). This role is accountable for overall quality performance by monitoring key quality metrics, conducting quality assessments, and driving continuous improvements in quality processes.
The position focuses on achieving quality objectives by ensuring the execution of quality plans, delivering measurable results, and fostering innovation to enhance productivity and reduce product costs. Additionally, the role is responsible for deploying applicable EQMS elements and Eaton Business System (EBS) initiatives to successfully meet established business and quality goals.
Job Responsibilities
1. Establish, implement, and maintain the plant Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with EQMS and ISO 9001 standards.
2. Administer the plant Quality Program to ensure required quality levels and alignment with corporate policies.
3. Ensure all QMS processes are defined, documented, implemented, and sustained.
4. Lead and support internal and external audits (ISO 9001, EQMS, OPA), ensuring compliance and timely closure of corrective actions (CARs) and opportunities for improvement (OFIs).
5. Facilitate Management Review meetings and maintain minutes and documentation for audit readiness.
6. Monitor, analyze, and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and QMS metrics, including plant-wide QLT compliance.
7. Identify trends and systemic issues through data analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
8. Maintain historical quality data and perform statistical analysis to support root cause identification and decision-making.
9. Lead customer complaint management, ensuring timely investigation, response, and resolution.
10. Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related communication with internal and external customers.
11. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cost reduction, process optimization, and defect prevention.
12. Lead quality activities for New Product Introductions (NPI) and product transfers following PROLaunch guidelines.
13. Implement preventive quality controls within manufacturing processes to reduce defects and variation.
14. Monitor and improve process capability and manufacturing performance metrics such as Yield, Scrap, and Productivity Efficiency.
15. Oversee incoming inspection processes and non-conforming material control (hold area) to ensure compliance with quality standards.
16. Ensure supplier and process compliance by requiring and following up on corrective actions.
17. Maintain and update quality tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and related documentation per EQMS/EQS requirements.
18. Align plant quality systems with corporate quality programs and initiatives.
19. Lead, coordinate, and develop the quality team, including assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
20. Provide training and guidance on EQMS policies, procedures, and quality tools.
21. Participate actively in cross-functional teams, departmental initiatives, and plant-wide projects.

- Bachelor's degree on industrial, electrical or electromechanical engineering, or other related science.
Years and area of experience required
- Minimum experience of 1 Year in positions of support for ISO9000 or equivalent activites, processess, systems
Technical knowledge
1. Full Bilingual (English / Spanish)
2. PC knowledge: Microsoft Office, Minitab, Power Bi and AS400.
3. Knowledge: Lean Tools, 6 Sigma and SPC.
4. ISO 9001/ EQMS Internal Auditor (Or equivalent)
