Eaton's Electrical sector is currently seeking a Project Technical Specialist to join our team. This position is based at our Delta, BC facility and offers benefits from day one.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $75000 - $94000 a year plus sales bonus.

What will you do?
The Project Technical Specialist is responsible for providing quotations to support the sales activities of distribution and control equipment to customers in the BC market. This role will utilize one's technical skills to create distribution and control assemblies for electrical infrastructure. In this role, your responsibilities will include: specification and electrical drawing interpretation, completing quotations and providing technical support.

  • Sales Support - Provide technical support on electrical products, assemblies and services to customers and channel, including application and pricing assistance. Assist sales representatives and distributors on on electronic quotations, opportunity identification, order entry, production tracking and shipping.
  • Collaboration - Support outside sales representatives with quotation follow-up and competitive activity reporting. Work with internals teams to understand products and pricing.
  • Customer Relationships - Build relationships with distributors, customers, and internal personnel to enhance long term business growth. Prepare sales proposals based on customer requirements while meeting timeline expectations. You will partner with distributors to create excitement, focus and enhance market reputation.
  • Digital Tools - Use pricing tools to complete competitive professional quotations

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Red Seal Electrician Certification.

• Knowledge of electrical drawings.

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Two (2) years of technical sales or field experience in the electrical industry.
• Preference will be given to candidates with Electrical CET or P.Eng. or Red Seal Electrician designation or working toward these designations.
