What you'll do:

In this role you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the customer relationship, providing sales and technical assistance to distributors, customers, contractors, and consultants, to drive sustainable sales growth.

Essential Functions:

  • Sales - You will work to achieve team orders and sales goals by understanding and applying the fundamentals of the Eaton Value Cycle: Sales strategy, Market/Customer knowledge, Value proposition design, and Price for value. You will provide input on sales forecasts, based on negotiation activity & customer/channel feedback. Introduce new products and implement promotional programs. You will prepare sales presentations to create product/service/solution understanding and awareness. Understand, and be responsive to, market conditions and competitive activities; Communicate such information internally to drive corrective actions and inform Regional & District Strategies


  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - You will work closely with your team to achieve team Orders and Sales goals. Maintain co-operative and credible working relationships with internal personnel, to consistently exceed customer expectations.


  • Customer Relationships - Cultivate customer, channel, and internal relationships. You will develop bid strategies and quotations for customers using price and delivery guidelines, applying sound business decisions to enhance sales volume and margins. Through your market knowledge, you will prepare sales proposals and value propositions to satisfy customer needs and expectations. Your technical assistance will be essential to customers and distributors.

You have knowledge of the GTA Residential / Commercial Construction market, with a proven ability to develop and deploy strategies to deliver customer-focused solutions. We are looking for candidates who are diverse in their backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, and who can bring fresh and innovative ideas to our team.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • College diploma or university degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum 3 years' technical experience in the electrical industry
  • No relocation provided. This role requires working onsite at our Mississauga, ON facility.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering Technology, Power Systems Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
  • P Eng., CET designation, or C-Tech
  • 5+ years of Field Sales or Project Closing experience

The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $89,000 - $112,000.

Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
