Project Lead Supply Chain

What you'll do:

This position will be based in Eaton's Global Supply Chain Center of Excellence (GSC CoE) in Pune.
The person in this position will be responsible to execute Complex and critical Projects spanning across multiple Categories / multiple sites / business ledgers / suppliers directly impacting the organizational goal achievement in resiliency, cost out and revenue protection. This role will also play a crucial role in Process Standardization leading to Smoother project executions and implementations and will oversee the portfolio level process compliance management and reporting."
• Project Management / Program Management
• Develop, plan, monitor and execute direct material cost out and resiliency projects with cross functional team involvement of mid to low complexity level.
• Report to senior leadership on the project Progress / escalations / roadblocks / feedback on regular basis
• Should lead and manage the projects with Phase Gate arrangement with DGC members as Senior leaders in the organization
• Establish & maintain a strong knowledge management database which can be leveraged for Sourcing decisions.
• Follow up with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely value capture in Cost Out tool
• Support teams with project management tools and techniques. Give proactive alerts to project team members, Escalation POCs and senior leaders for Critical Paths and risk mitigation to avoid roadblocks on the projects
• Participate in risks assessment and risk management along with the project teams comprising global SCM leaders and commodity managers
• Ensure projects meet their financial & operational goals (KPIs) viz cost out, cost avoidance, productivity gain and on time & accurate deliveries.
• Manage the supplier quality interface (APQP) to ensure that PPAP requirements are understood and met, including assisting in issue resolution for components identified as "high risk." Interface with suppliers, product engineering, and the Eaton plant to drive on-time project completion. Work projects through ramp up and successful launch.

• Technical Competencies & Service Delivery Requirements -
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferably Electrical and Electronics Engineering / equivalent.
• Minimum 4-6 years' experience in manufacturing or into Supply chain with core end to end project management experience
• Project management certification Preferred
• Previous experience in managing projects with Phase Gate methodology / DGCs with senior leadership involvement
• Comfortable in communicating and reporting to the senior leadership within the organization on the Project progress / review / roadblocks. / feedback on regular basis
• Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio & Project)
• Ability to communicate clearly & effectively in person, via e-mail and over phone
• Proficient in the development and tracking of internal metrics
• Strong project and time management, organizational, and analytical skills.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
Masters/Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
04-06 years of working experience in manufacturing industries / similar industry will be required where there has been exposure to Project Management in Supply Chain
