Project Field Manager - Data Center

The Power Quality (PQ) division at Eaton Electrical provides power management solutions including uninterruptable power supplies (UPS's), surge protective devices, power distribution units (PDU's), remote monitoring, software, power factor correction, airflow management, rack enclosures and services. Due to growth, we are looking for a Field Project Manager to lead and manage the delivery of customer projects and services to meet project requirements. This is a great opportunity for an experience project manager to work onsite (data centers) and exceed customer expectations.
Key Duties:
- Review project proposals or plan to determine timeframe, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project
- Allocate and manage resources and confer with service, operations, engineering, sales & finance staff to outline project schedule and assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
- Actively manage coordination between factory, supply chain, project resources and customer
- Ensure the company and project related Quality Assurance objectives are met.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within prescribed budget including supply chain, warehouse, engineer, vendors, subcontractors, suppliers, and field service personnel
- Provide accurate project sales forecast / estimation, manage the project expenses (T&E, timesheet, product, purchase orders)
- Actively gather information on the customer and the customer's requirements to creates additional business opportunities out of the ongoing project where possible
- Resolve conflicts and identify the root cause of disagreements, facilitating open communication, and guiding the team towards a mutually agreeable solution.
- Throughout project life cycle, identify and assess all risk factors utilizing available risk measurement tools and identify and implement suitable mitigation activities
- Prepare project status reports for management & customer's and project related month end reporting for finance

Qualifications:
- A minimum of five years of project management experience in the electrical industry. Preferably with UPS Systems, DC Systems, AND/OR low / medium voltage
- Experience working on Tier 1 construction sites is highly advantageous (Data Centers highly regarding but not mandatory)
- Strong communication, (written and verbal), with strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Results driven and excellent time management to ensure project deliverables are completed with meeting customer and company satisfaction
- Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional team members and vendors/subcontractors to meet deadlines,
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize work loads
- Computer Literacy is essential, particularly with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project
