Production Planning Manager
Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a Production Planning Manager. This role is overseeing Customer Service and Planning functions within the Supply Chain at our Sumter, SC facility.
The Production Planning Manager reports to the Plant Manager and has overall responsibility for customer service, production control, and on time execution of the Master Production Schedule (MPS). The scope of the MPS includes multiple vertically integrated processes, from order engineering, materials, fabrication, and assembly. The position requires direct involvement with daily operations, customers/sales, functions, and the Network planning team to effectively execute and support facility goals and objectives - managing processes such as mix-modeling, ETO/CTO capacity planning, WIP management, and communication.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $108749.97 - $159499.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
- Align and execute the production plan by coordinating and planning various functions to ensure attainment of the schedule to achieve customer delivery commitments - from order engineering, materials, kitting, releasing work to production, fabrication, and assembly - to achieve 95%+ OTD.
- Manage the releasing of work into the factory in alignment with SIOP, execution, and optimization of key bottlenecks to maximize throughput.
- Provide timely, accurate, and thorough communication to sales and/or customer representatives to drive customer satisfaction and order information.
- Oversee and provide guidance to team in implementation and management of MAPICS core ERP System.
- Has full control of the production plan in every production line to satisfy customer requested dates.
- Drive continuous improvement of the production planning process, including SIOP, order flow, sequencing, mix modeling, and cross-value stream coordination.
- Develop and drive execution of the monthly sales forecast & financial Profit Plan to SIOP.
- Anticipate and implement new process improvements and ensure support from employees.
- Develop objectives with the Materials Department and provide periodic progress reports to increase employee motivation and productivity of the department.
- Facilitate the identification and communication of identify/resolve component shortages to the Purchasing department in order to maintain accurate documentation and to arrange for the supply of additional units if needed.
- Ensure personnel are adequately trained in the performance of their duties. Conducts periodic performance evaluations of direct reports.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 3 years' combined experience in Materials, Operations and/or Supply Chain Management within a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 1 year of manager of people experience

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Supply Chain Management/Engineering from an accredited institution.
- APICS CPIM Certification
Skills:
- Experience in supporting cross-functional SIOP and Inventory management processes
- Technical knowledge of forecasting techniques, bill of material structuring and scheduling execution
- ERP knowledge preferably by current business systems (MAPICS, SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle)
- In-depth knowledge of plant manufacturing processes and value streams from raw materials to finished product
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to motivate team members to drive for results
