Production Planner

Eaton's IS VEH EMB division is currently seeking a Production Planner.

Eaton announced, on January 26, 2026, the intent to separate its Mobility Group (including both the Vehicle and eMobility segments) into an independent, publicly traded company. We expect to complete the separation by the end of the first quarter of 2027. The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. If you are offered and accept this position and are actively employed by the Mobility Group when the spinoff closes, the new company will provide further details to employees concerning compensation and benefits at that time.

What you'll do:

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

This position monitors and schedule work orders for the production lines assigned by Business unit, using current production system of production schedule plan. Supplies demand on time and based on needed quantity by production line in order to satisfy customer needs (internal and external).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A. Coordinates with purchasing team the incoming material considering quantity and timing in order to maintain the desired inventory level, zero-line downs, minimize final product past due, also optimize the production system utilization to analyze better the inventory status.
B. Responsible to release manufacturing orders to production and make sure they are processed on a timely manner.
C. Collaborate with the manufacturing engineer, quality engineer, Production Supervisor, and NPI team the ramp up of new production lines, through an analysis of customer requirements for pilot runs or prototypes.
D. Accomplishment of Automotive Customer requirements following the MMOG guidelines
E. Coordinates with the Manufacturing Eng any change of raw material if needed, minimize obsolescence, and make sure a continuous material flow on the production lines.
F. Follow up with the Sr. Buyer the procurement of raw material in case of getting close to a low inventory level or when the transit incoming material could cause a line down or when there is a production schedule increase.
G. Reports daily the on-time delivery of our customers, our goal is to meet and/or exceed 98.5% of OTD and no mora than 1 day of sales as PD, in case we do not meet it, an action plan will be required as a contingency.
H. Participate on Annual Inventories, SCM events, meetings, and trainings as needed.
I. Provide accurate ship dates to Customer Service if material shortages may affect the shipping date to our customer.
J. Provide recovery plan to Customers through Customer Service in case we run behind of schedule.
K. Review and execute order action in the MRP for subassemblies and finished goods.
L. Analyze monthly forecast in the short and long term to identify and prevent material shortages, inventory obsolescence or excess inventory.
M. Control DOH (Days-on-Hand Inventory) to meet Materials department goals.
N. Control of past due amount versus goal of half a day of production (0.5 day of production)
O. Review aged orders and maintain metrics for aged orders and WIP inventory.
P. Participate on SIOP steps and data gathering required.
Q. Monitor weekly ERP Health and execute actions required to meet goals for each parameter.
R. Analyze EDI demand to figure out different scenarios for production.
S. The holder of this position is responsible for implementing these functions and other activities as assigned by immediate supervisor.
T. Develop, lead, and promote a culture in the organization that supports the expected results in the Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental system (MESH).
U. Maintain waste segregation culture.
V. Separate hazardous waste from the normal trash
W. Place waste according to the assigned containers.
X. Maintain your area clean and free of contaminants.
Y. Not waste of water or electricity.
Z. Report any activity that can put in risk my safety and environment.
AA. Identify and give adequate disposition to all chemical products, which can contaminate the environment.
BB. Act/Report immediately any chemical discharge case.
CC. Ensure the rights containers for disposition of hazardous waste (identifying containers and containers to prevent discharge)

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

• Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering.
• 1 year previous experience in purchasing/planning function.
• Experience in manufacturing environment .
• Knowledge of Microsoft software's equipment .
• Fluent in English/Spanish.
