Production & Continuous Improvement Manager

The Global Energy Infrastructure Solutions (GEIS) group is part of the wider Eaton Electrical Group and contains the Crouse Hinds division which manufactures high grade electrical products for hazardous, industrial, and commercial applications world-wide. We are looking for a Production and Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager to work alongside customers, supply chain and production stakeholders in the management of production assemblies.

This is a highly visible role where the successful candidates will ensure the smooth implementation of the production plan and full compliance with EHS standards through supervision, risk prevention, and continuous improvement of workplace safety. The incumbent will also manage manufacturing and CI engineers as well as production staff.

What you'll do:

Responsible for the daily management of the production assembly workshop, ensuring the smooth implementation of the production plan and full compliance with EHS standards through effective safety supervision, risk prevention, and continuous improvement of workplace safety. Responsible to lead continous improvement initiatives and achieve CI targets.
"1. Responsible for all Eaton GEIS production at our Mascot factory. One manufacturing & CI engineer and seven production staff report to this role.
2. Take responsibility and hold colleagues accountable for zero incidence safety culture.
3. Support EHS function by managing safety improvement opportunities and effective action completion.
4. Responsible to make sure that production orders are completed efficiently and timely by maintaining highest quality and safety standards.
5. Ability to make efficient production plans.
6. Lead CI function. Initiate kaizen events to achieve cost productivity profit plan targets.
7. Implement Lean and 5S+ techniques on production floor.
8. Work with team members to support the manufacture of new product/process development. Support new products pilot run and jigs designing.
9. Responsible for maintaining quality on production floor.
10. This role requires good pressure handling skills, as there are daily/weekly/monthly/yearly targets to achieve.
11. Daily material management ensures material accuracy.
12. Manage employees to work according to standards such as WI and JSA, as well as manage discipline, attendance, training, and performance evaluation. Coach team and develop competency withinn team.

13. Lead production related Capex projects.
14. Working with quality team to solve quality issues and customer complaints by taking short/long term actions.
15. Experience with SAP is must.
16. Experience and knowledge of Hazardous area products and certfication will be advantageous."

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in managing production in a manufcaturing enviornment.

Skills:
