Production CNC Technician
Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Production CNC Technician.
The hourly rate for this position is 19.52 per hour.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
The core hours for this role are 7:00am-3:30pm

The compensation and benefits that will initially be offered for this position are based on Eaton's plans, programs and practices. What you'll do:
Eaton's Mobility Group is currently seeking a Production Technician. This position is based at our Athens, GA location. We make superchargers for high performance engines at this facility.
The Production CNC Technician will operate safely and efficiently with various manufacturing and CNC equipment and related systems. They will also ensure compliance with all quality standards of finished parts produced and operate manufacturing equipment to permit high rates of efficiency in a safe working environment.
What you'll do:
• Responsible for the production and assembly of high-performance superchargers and associated components, meeting quantity and quality expectations while ensuring the safety of yourself and others. Responsible to work within established quality and EBS systems.
• Maintain production records for assigned position. Participate in a team environment. Complete daily tasks in compliance with work standards. Utilize work instructions for proper procedures for assigned position.
• Comply with all standard EHS practices and guidelines, and all Company guidelines and policies.
• Monitor and maintain efficient manufacturing equipment, manual and automatic gauging systems, and material handling system operations. Perform all checking and gauging functions to ensure machines are running within specifications. Operate multiple machines simultaneously.
• Perform adjustments to machine operation to ensure parts are within allowable tolerances including performing adjustments and offsets to machines and monitor conditions of tooling.
• Perform machine changeovers, and change tool inserts as needed.
• Accurately interpret product blueprints, drawings, set up sheets and other work instructions.
• Perform part quality checks using calipers, scales, micrometers, height gauges, length gauges, runout gauges and other measuring tools as needed.
• Perform part quality checks using CMM machine and interpret data from inspection report
• Perform machine CNC adjustments on multiple axes using all information derived from quality checks to keep part in control limits
• Listens to machines during operation to detect irregular sounds (i.e. dull cutting tools or excessive vibration); adjusts machines to compensate for problems and notifies lead or maintenance personnel as appropriate
• Work directly with peers , Maintenance, Quality and Leadership Team members to problem solve and correct production-related issues.
• Comply with all IATF16949 standards and quality requirements, including visual requirements. Stop and correct job operation if product quality is affected negatively.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area including equipment. Adhere to Eaton's 5S+ Workplace Organizational Program. Perform operator-related preventative maintenance and cleaning as required.
• Additional tasks and equipment as trained and assigned.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
• High school diploma or equivalent,
• 1 year of manufacturing experience.
• Working knowledge of production equipment and CNC machinery. Ability to run, set-up and change-over equipment.
• Able to lift parts up to 50 lbs. frequently
• Must live within 50 miles of the site location
Skills:
• Personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves, apron, and chemical face shield.
• SDS sheets.
• Lockout/tag-out equipment.
• Hand tools, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, measuring instruments and gauges, calipers, micrometers, comparators, and equipment operations manuals
