Eaton's Electrical Sector Americas division is currently seeking a Product Specialist - Connectivity and Peripherals Products to join our team. This role is based in Toronto, ON and offers benefits day one.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Product Specialist is a key member of Marketing Team responsible for supporting product marketing, sales, channel and customers from pre-sales through post sales. The product specialist will serve as the go to expert for Eaton's Connectivity and Peripherals Product Portfolio including white space connectivity product portfolio-to meet Canadian customer expectations. The product specialist will be providing technical guidance, support product lifecycle activities, and supporting strategic initiatives.
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with global teams, lead product launches, and shape the future of our Physical Infrastructure portfolio. You will also support pricing reviews, maintain ERP systems, and develop impactful marketing collateral.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide technical product expertise to sales teams and customers.
- Support the sales team during the RFQ process by ensuring proposed solutions meet client technical specifications and by providing accurate technical documentation and pricing.
- Facilitate interactions between Sales and Marketing to align product development with strategic customer and industry needs.
- Support product lines to ensure the portfolio is well defined, understood, and communicated internally and externally; actively support cross-product line and business unit functions to enhance Eaton's total solution offering.
- Contribute to the Business Plan by analyzing available market data, segmentation, competitive landscape, trends, target markets, required investments, revenue potential, and recommendations.
- Support the introduction of new products, including roadmaps, pricing, profit goals, promotional materials, release planning, forecasting, inventory planning, and alignment with U.S. products as applicable.
- Coordinate and support Marketing Communications to ensure corporate positioning aligns with business plan strategies.
- Support product market strategies aimed at maximizing sales and profit potential.
- Ensure appropriate business policies, practices, and relationships are established and maintained with customers and channel partners.
- Ensure the General Sales Force has the direction, information, tools, and training needed to exceed sales goals.
- Perform other duties as required to meet departmental and Business Unit objectives.
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
• University degree or college diploma from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience related sales, marketing or product engineering.
• Valid and unrestricted driver's licence.
• No relocation benefit is offered for this position.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
• P. Eng., CET or C. Tech designation.
• University degree or college diploma in technical discipline (preferably in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering).
• French and English fluency - to communicate with colleagues, customers, and partners.
• Experience working with connectivity and peripherals products.
Skills:
• Highly motivated, self-starting, enthusiastic, result-oriented team player.
• Solid understanding of relevant industrial and commercial markets and technologies, including strong technical product aptitude in mission critical datacenter solutions such as KVMs, Switches, network Cables and network panels.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $82000 - $102000 a year.
