Product Engineer
Eaton's ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Product Engineer.
This role is located at our Nacogdoches, TX site. Relocation assistance will be provided.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $71000 - $105000 a year.

What you'll do:
The Product Engineer primary responsibility of this position is support Voltage Regulator production at the Nacogdoches facility, focusing primarily on tap changer test, fabrication and unit assembly of Regulators. This position will also serve as a backup supporting other manufacturing functions including cores and coils, controls and unit test.
In this role you will:
- Support Naco production by answering technical and product definition data (PDD) questions and resolving build and test questions. Main area of focus will be fabrication, tap changer test, and unit assembly but position will also provide support to coil winding, stacking, control build and test, and unit test.
- Attend tier meetings. Act as a liaison between Production and Engineering both in Naco and Badger.
- Evaluate and process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and issue Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) to modify PDD.
- Ensure product is built and tested to Industry, Quality and Engineering design standards.
- Maintain PDD data such as drawings, bills of materials, and characteristics.
- Implement design changes in the shop ensuring changes are implemented with minimal issues.
- Identify Design for Manufacturing (DFM) opportunities and lead several DFM activities/projects.
- Identify and implement product cost out (VAVE) opportunities.
- Provide timely, accurate and succinct updates to Waukesha Engineers with all Engineering related activities in Naco.
- Participate in design reviews of new ratings and other design changes.

Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in mechanical engineering
- Experience with custom engineering design and processes.
- Experience with demonstrated skills in engineering analysis and tool capabilities.
- Experience creating, loading, and storing engineering designs within an ERP system, preferably SAP.
- Knowledge of power systems, voltage regulator or distribution/power transformer products/applications, and/or industrial automation/controls.
- Experience using or development of design programs for optimization.
- Familiarity with modeling, detailing and layout drafting techniques.
- Ability to excel as a team player by successfully collaborating with engineering peers as well as cross-functional personnel to ensure custom designs meet customer expectations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD/Inventor 2D & 3D modelling.
- Experience with product design, cost out, agile methodologies.
