Process Quality Engineer - Paint & Assembly

What you'll do:

Job Summary
This position provides support to operations by allocating resources to audit the process or products. This position will ensure the plant's compliance with process or product specifications. The quality engineer will also interact with customers to address and solve quality issues, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Job Responsibilities
• Define, specify, and implement quality standards and procedures for manufacturing processes.
• Assure that product shipped meets internal and external customer requirements.
• Develop and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare corrective action responses necessary.
• Host Source inspectors and/or Customer Auditors as needed.
• Provide technical support to both internal and external customers and suppliers as needed.
• Formulate and implement quality assurance procedures, policies, and standards.
• Lead Quality Inspectors, training and development.
• Internal PPAP preparation and process approvals.
• Lead and take part of the Material Review Board.

Qualifications:

1. Education level required

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, from an accredited institution.

2. Years and area of experience required

  • Minimum of 3 years in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.

3. Technical knowledge

  • Experience in Industrial Paint Process, knowledge of Pantone, thickness testing, colorimetry, adherence testing.
  • Knowledge of measuring equipment, industrial metalworking, paint booths, Pantone sets, thickness, Press: measurement of parts, measuring tools (vernier caliper, micrometer)
  • English Medium Level.
  • Ability to read and understand blue prints, specifications, and requirements including GD&T.
  • Experience using PC configured with MS Windows OS. Familiarity with MS Office software is desired
  • Preferred experience on Electrical or Metal Mechanical Industry.
  • Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Experience in performing Quality audits.
  • Technical proficiency in Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) models.
  • Knowledge in Core tools
  • VISA
