We are looking for a Field Service Engineer who will provides a service to Eaton customers, to carry out preventative maintenance on our UPS's manufactured within the Eaton Electrical business and to maintain other existing UPS equipment to fulfil customer requirements in line with Eaton Safety requirements. You will focus on hyperscale data centers in the region.

What you'll do:

  • Diagnose faults on UPS systems.
  • Demonstrate understanding of on-line and line-interactive UPS systems.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on the existing installed base.
  • Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks).
  • Commission and repair all types of UPS systems, including standalone and parallel configurations.
  • Set up and configure remote monitoring software.
  • Communicate with key stakeholders on technical matters.
  • Apply anti-static policies and procedures.
  • Apply the ECN process to all repairs.

Qualifications:

• Educated to a HNC or higher in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or equivalent

Skills:

• Possessing three phase electrical installation or maintenance knowledge
• A good understanding of UPS systems.
• Knowledgeable of industrial communication protocols such as: Modbus, SNMP, OPC, DDE , TCP/IP
• Knowledgeable of programming of PLC control systems (power control, generator control, SCADA or process control
