PLS Manager

Eaton's ES AMER ARS division is currently seeking a PLS Manager.

What you'll do:

Supervises the daily activities and assignments of the Product Line Support (PLS) engineering team. Performs complex engineering relate assignments often requiring development of new or improved products/process/techniques . Assess feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering test/products/equipment. Develop yearly strategic plans aligned with Division Engineering and LP operations.

Job Responsibilities
Supervises the day to day activities of the PLS engineering team (Lead Engineers, Master Designers, Supervisors).
Reports status on PLS team assignments and metrics, prioritizing engineering request, projects and engineering to various cross functional teams based on Business needs.
Supports the engineering aspects of cost out activities.
Ensures the proper design procedures and processes of the engineering team.
Contributes to successful project completion by participating in the resolution of issues such as conflict design requirements.
Coordinates project activities with other operating or engineering units to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completion.
Review project-related documentation to ensure its accuracy and compliance to Regulatory Agencies.
Assists in determining project objectives to contribute to the development of a comprehensive project design/ product improvement.
Provide technical soundness of design decisions and product changes to facilitate manufacturing, reduce costs, substitute material, improve quality and accommodate special customer needs.
Prevent and correct manufacturing issues that affect product function ability or impact design intend.
Certification process coordinator.
Support to existent manufacturing process, collaborate with cross functional team in the design of new manufacturing process.
