PLS Engineering Technician
Eaton's ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a PLS Engineering Technician. The core hours are 7:00am to 3:45pm. The hourly rate for this position is $23.92 per hour.
This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you'll do:
This engineering assistant's main responsibility is to run El Paso's MET (mechanical endurance testing) program, and to assist the PLS engineers in any other testing and evaluations that need completed. They will work cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and customer service in order to obtain the test samples per the MET schedule and to report on any quality or production issues discovered.
- Develop engineering procedures and operational methods when required.
- Coordinate and perform process and equipment validations as needed.
- Generate project documentation and maintain team performance files.
- Knowledge of computer systems.
- Ability to know and understand the breaker test system.
- Work alongside engineers to deal with product/breaker non-conformities.
- Ability to identify product/breaker parts and assemble the product.
- Provide support to process/design engineers in project-related tasks.
- Assist manufacturing operators and engineers in the analysis and solution of problems through the use of statistical techniques.
- Interact with manufacturing personnel to resolve situations related to ensuring the good quality of products.
- Periodically report progress on assigned tasks and projects.
- Understand and follow safe electrical practices in a laboratory environment.
- Participate in process improvement teams to solve root causes of situations/problems.
- Ability to identify non-conforming breaker parts/pieces.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
- Associate degree or Technical Certification in Electronics, Electrical Technology, or related field
- A minimum of one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing or testing environment

- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of El Paso, TX (50 miles) will be considered for this position.
Position Criteria:
- Basic understanding of electrical circuits and test equipmentStrong attention to detail and documentation practices
- Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and ISO 9001
- Willingness to work flexible hours and support multiple shifts if needed
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Able to complete work under low supervision while maintaining high levels of performance.
- Work efficiently and be able to work on projects individually.
