Plant Operations Manager
Eaton's Electrical Sector - Power Distribution & Controls Assemblies (PDCA) business is seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to join our manufacturing site leadership team in Omaha, Nebraska. Relocation assistance will be provided.
Our non-union site has over 120 employees that work across 2 shifts. This complex site is responsible for large scale, ETO, power assemblies, as well as welding, machining, and painting. Reporting to the Omaha Business Operations Manager, our Operations Manager is responsible for leading the manufacturing team in developing talent and achieving production schedule, product quality, cost, and employee safety goals. The role drives performance and deploys Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) and Eaton Continuous Improvement framework (CIF) to achieve our financial plans, employee engagement and strategic goals. The operations manager leverages resources and motivates team members to create high performance culture.

In this role you will:
• Manage and direct all manufacturing activities to ensure completion of customer requirements.
• Assess performance indicators and take appropriate actions to ensure schedule, cost and quality goals are met.
• Own the short term and long term scheduling and planning process in accordance to SIOP processes. To align all functional partners, resources, and material needs are met.
• Own the short and long-term capital planning process with an emphasis on machinery and productivity in accordance with known operation needs, strategies, and objectives.
• Ensure required documentation and/or system transactions are executed to meet customer, manufacturing system, and financial reporting requirements.
• Assure policies, procedures, and other documentation are followed to ensure consistent and compliant manufactured product.
• Provide leadership and commitment in support of continuous improvements in quality, productivity and delivery performance through the deployment of continuous improvement framework (CIF).
• Support product design organization through new product introduction phase to ensure customer manufacturing delivery times are met.
• Assure that Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) issues are addressed considering local regulations, Eaton policy, and good corporate citizenship.
• Evaluate operational performance of the group to facilitate performance management, merit promotions, job transfers, etc.
• Manage budgets and resource plans, and monitor performance, to achieve product delivery and cost requirements.
• Coordinate and assist with plant initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across enterprise.
• Coordinate with Human Resources to take care of employee relations issues as they arise within production.
• Achieve labor productivity, reduction of overtime and lead cost reduction efforts to drive factory cost take out.
• Champion implementation of MESH to achieve improvement in year-over-year safety performance measures
Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, production control and/or manufacturing supervision.
• Minimum of two (2) years of team lead, supervision or people management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in either operations management, supply chain management, continuous improvement and/or manufacturing engineering in an Engineer to Order (ETO) manufacturing environment
• Experience working with ERP / MRP material systems
Position Success Criteria:
• Ability to interpret and collect data to drive decisions and identify improvements
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office products
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, and ability to understand highly technical product designs in order to address production opportunities.
• Strong leadership and coaching capabilities to influence others to drive for results and accountability
• Working knowledge of business systems, accounting systems, industrial engineering, and manufacturing operations and processes.
• Ability to utilize available materials to optimize customer satisfaction in the areas of design, quality, and on-time delivery.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
